Close-range mode uses one bullet per BRRT.
Long-range mode uses two bullets per BRRT.
Close range Power Shot gives you knockback so you can get some breathing room, while long range Power Shot gives you a piercing shot.

Just some tips from a tone main -

Know your role, engage at medium range as a support titan. If you see scorches and ronins, back the fuck up, you only have a chance at distance. Always stay right next to hard cover, and just take potshots from behind it as much as you can.

Your best weapon is the distance between you and your target. Take the pulse kit and the turbo boost, and enjoy your new salt-powered robot.

I start Origin (even as administrator), and then a window pops up with a short "loading" spinning circle animation, then it closes, and Origin doesn't boot.

Can we discuss a list of hard counters in Titan combat ? The list bellow is with made with one on one engagements in a semi-build up area.

Ion > Tone, Legion
Ronin > Legion, Ion, Tone, Northstar
Scorch > Ronin, Legion
Legion > Tone, Northstar
Northstar > Tone, Scorch

In more open areas of the map Ronin loses most of its advantages while Scorch in the open and without a plan will almost always get outplayed. Northstar on the other goes up.

Stacking Titans of one class can have varying results - Ronins can keep up the pressure but will face the problem of bumping into each other where Legions can shoot through each other, although if they bunch up their fat asses might not be able to get away from a nuke eject when they trip over each other. Multi-Tone team with rotating barriers is hard to counter at range but if you a rushing group or Ronins or Ions coming up with their Shields could do some damage.

The hardest counter in the game is Ion vs Legion I think, especially if the person brought in the Shield perk. If the Ion doesn't waste too much energy before the fight he can even 1v2 them. A Legion that deploys his shield will sometimes think that he can outlast the Ion's shield and keep firing, but that just usually ends bad for the Titan next to him.

At launch they were very much matched with Tone having the advantage. But with it's nerf and Legion getting the Hidden Compartment perk he just melts most Tones at short to medium range with the double power shot.

This is extremely situational for most of these titans, fully healed legion or tone can destroy Ronin easily if they are aware of where he is, and Northstar can easily get away, while Ion can still turn the odds with vortex

Most counters are situational, though its rare for ronins to lose up close against northstars or Ione, it can happen, but then again, so are legion and scorch against mostly anything up close if they are not previously injured

Despite the fact stacking works, its notable that using Titans like tone for attrition makes your job easier since you can shit on pilots and npcs easily, or how legion stack in LTS is literally unbeatable if they all turtle up and move together

Phase dash puts this in favor of Ronin I would say. Legion needs time and a target in front of him to deal damage, Ronin skips some of the distance and more importantly can get behind the Legion that will need a moment to readjust and spin up his minigun.

Unless you walk into his tether trap you not only have the same amount of dashes and speed but also the phase dash and arc wave if he's running in a straight line.

He should use that energy on traps because the Ronin shouldn't shoot at him if he approaches from the front. The shotgun is for a damage burst when you sneak up on him, after that you must keep up the pressure with the sword so he doesn't back up or throws anything back at you.

Where most Titans shine against Ronin is in open when they see it coming. If both are on full health block won't help much and you must disengage and try sneaking up on them. Same with Scorch but you don't have as many mobility tools.

What would you like to see for future Pilot weapons?

Personally would like to see an Anti-Titan weapon that functions like a traditional dumb-fired rocket launcher. The gimmick could be that it has a shitton of warheads types that you equip via loadout. Make it a powerful HEAT shell launcher, HE to fuck up pilots badly, or a thermite launcher. That and should be based off of the RPG-29 for maximum aesthetic.

Just started playing. What's the best basic strategy to git?

Tone is the most hated Titan in the game because she reverses the relationship between Titan and pilot with her sonar. Normally putting your back to some hard cover always risks some asshole using the same to peek and peck you to death - Tone avoids it completely by pinging it first, and if you're braindead enough to try and peek her while pinged, she OHKs you with her 40mm.

She ALSO directly supports other pilots on her team with the same, in a way that no other Titan can. Hardpoint B on Angel City is the most egregious example - being pinged in that claustrophobic building is an instant death sentence if Tone has a teammate in there.

Tone could have the "gain one lock" portion removed from the sonar ability and it would hardly matter at all.

Her primary/homing missiles and her wall are arguable, but she could have the shittiest kit in the world and that sonar ping and she'd still be viable just for the sonar.

tl;dr maphax are extremely strong and usually unfun to play against in a low TTK FPS

High damage while being behind safety lets tones attack without risk, every other titan's main source of damage requires them showing their face other than scorch traps, but tone can chunk hp without much risk.
Utility lets you help other titans and pilots with wallhacks on a pretty short cooldown, wall helps every titan and still attack.
Basically, insanely hard to kill due to not having to trade much hp for kills, will almost always know where you are, and in a fight will almost always outdamage you unless you catch them in a terrible position (ronin up close, legion with nowhere to hide, scorch having them trapped, etc).

The only saving grace is that a lot of tone pilots are retarded and play like they're northstar (and get sniped) or think theyre fucking invincible and get gunned down at close range

You get Ion Prime and Scorch Prime, two blue camos for everything; guns, pilots, titans, titans guns and then a warpaint for each titan, which are mostly kind of a gray and not too outstanding.

The nitro pack is worth it though if you like Scorch (but isn't part of the deluxe), the nose art is lovely and the bright red is unlike any other warpaint it has.

Scorch Prime looks entirely unrelated to regular Scorch thanks to the angular armor. The only semblance they have is the maybe the back-jets shared with the Ogre Titans and the circular optic cluster. Scorch Prime looks more akin to Legion than Scorch.

Try using it instead of just looking at the stats that are not true for any weapon, as been proven by dataminers. I'm gen 5 with P2016, gen 3 with wingman, and i couldn't force myself through more than two and a half gens with Elite.
