Honestly I'd like more of this type of stuff as long as it didn't interfere with the multiplayer. I want a connection with my Titan like we sort of got with BT.

they need to add more voice lines for each Titan, giving them all a distinct personality, and have them comment on things more frequently.

For an example why not have the Titan occasionally take the jop of the announcer, congratulating you on your skills and all that. Having the eject messages be voiced would be neat as well.

Depending on the terrain there is no way to avoid it and you may risk using all your dashes to secure a kill only for it to proc. The real problem is that there is zero indication of whether someone has nuke eject before they use it, so you either have to play as if everyone has it or roll a dice if you want to be ultra aggressive. It's just a dumb mechanic, a shitty one that's easy to avoid, but still poorly thought out and doesn't really add anything to the game.

Literally all you have to do is turn around and sprint and you are out of its range. You can literally go for an execution and they proc the nuke and you can sprint away and maybe take a little damage, you can also go around corners. The only thing someone having a nuke does is prevent you from getting an execution unless you are a huge shitter and your brain operates so slow you don't immediately recognize the noise and light and walk away. You don't even have to be that close for executions, even if their was an indicator retards would still die to the nuke since you have to have down syndrome to get caught in it. Also you can execute them before they proc it since you just have to press F and they have to mash E 3 times. The perk is great since it exists to shit on brain dead players on the ez titans with no dashes but lots of health.

That's a shit mechanic, shitters should be punished because other players are better than them. A fight shouldn't be decided by how close you are to a titan when it dies, even if you can almost always avoid it. If anything it makes bad players play more passively and fail to take risks because they don't want to close down on a titan if they might get nuked and can't escape it.

So you're basically treating it like it's a quick time event, which is exactly what's wrong with it. A bot AI could avoid nuke, you could possibly even set up a macro to turn 180 and sprint away. There is zero skill involved in activating the ability, it just punishes people for being close and more importantly leads to a lot of people choosing the boring nuke ability over something funner that actually adds something to the game.

Game seems deadish now. Based on the free weekend, I have to say the most disappointing thing is how mono-role the mechs are. That and the utter lack of map diversity. Might be fine map diversity for someone who exclusively plays console shooters and is fine playing the same single good map ad infinitum, but for me it's sort of terrible. Angel City was the one map I ended up playing to death.

Game modes get redundant. No dedicated servers and tiny player limits mean you can't just play with a dedicated group steadily without being booted out. Maps are often cramped and really lack inspired design. No objective push mode saddens my heart.

Enhanced Cluster Missiles are the original go-to kit for Northstar, not least because it helps pick off Pilots and pile on some extra damage on Titans.
I haven't tried the newly-buffed Viper Thrusters yet, but I can see the appeal for it.
A lot of people love Threat Optics because it more clearly highlights targets at range, which is very handy for Northstar the sniper Titan.

MGL is good for quickly piling on damage at mid-close range.
Thunderbolt does radiant damage, so even if you miss, you still do some damage.

for DPS you want the charge rifle with charge hack or the MGL.
For straight up single target damage the Archer is probably the most damaging, but you'll want to only ever fire on distracted titans with it.

If you have alot of titans grouped up the energy weapon is your best option since it will hit, disorient and damage all of them, giving you a lot of charge.

Current Titan lines suck. Once I died because my scorch was having a 20 second diatribe about incindiary charges mid-battle and only told me that my core had fully charged 10 seconds ago once I was half-doomed and had to eject. In Titanfall 1 the audio cues were much more reliable because Titans didn't "advise" some bullshit at all times that's probably not gonna help AND most likely on cooldown anyway.

Coming off the back of playing Sleeping Dogs recently, I'd say that's more a problem of bad level design than the idea not being fun.

All the best free-running sections were instanced in missions though. Sure you could find them again and re-do them without the mission but the reason it was fantastic is because it was placed there very deliberately. It's not as smooth in most other places of the game.

Scorch is just a fucking meme. He is fun but the effort you put in just does not get results. I got tactical on angel city, held three alleyways. Trapped 2 and fire launchered the other. A enemy tone pushed through one alley without seeing me

I lite up my traps to prevent escape and it just double dashes away while shooting me when I peeked.

It dashed though my trap and took minimal damage.

Its shit like this that pisses me off. I put in all this effort into using my tactical abilities correctly and get next to nothing out of it. I am pretty sure I took more damage during that altercation.

It's funny how this game has assblasted a well known game reviewer and critic. I think due to the success of R6 Siege, when before nearly everyone was bashing it has gotten these 'professionals' in a state of delusion. Either Turbo Engine + Thermal Shield or Overcore + Scorched Earth, although Thermal Shield is the most effective. Also make sure you pick and choose your battles. If you can't make it to an enemy without crossing an open field, just run away and wait for another opportunity.

I wouldn't mind Flight Core if they increased it's overall damage. No one is scared of it unless they're a Pilot, but even then, it's hard as shit to properly kill a Pilot with Flight Core. But I would have entirely prefer that Flight and Sword Cores have been ability and mobility increasing Cores instead just being pure damage cores.

Flight Core instead gives you a very mobile VTOL Hover and replaces your Cluster Missiles with a beefed up Multi-Target Missile System that can be used in conjunction with the Plasma Railgun that has decreased charge time. Sword Core should nerf the sword damage but grant near-spammable Arc Waves and Boosts to the point where you're almost as nimble as the TF1 Dash Core.
