I think that's a bad idea. The DSTwo+ and DSTwo differ only in 3DS ROM support, so the DSTwo+ is a waste of money.
And the only thing the DSTwo offers above other flashcards is the built-in CPU for GBA and SNES emulation, which can be done better by your homebrew 3DS and also drains the battery. So that's a waste of money and battery life.

Just note; MOST Western Digital IDE drives do not fit the PS2 network adapter, and to make one 500 gig WD drive fit with friend's, I had to do a lot of cutting and screw removing and overall making the thing more finnicky.

No, freeHDboot has been out for a while, which uses same kind of exploit as freeMCboot, but just on HDD, you first have to format the HDD with WinHIIP or something like that, then raw copy a freeHDboot image to the HDD and then PS2 will boot off the HDD to same menu freeMCboot does, and the images around are also equipped with most things you will need, exception being that the OPL in image will not be up to date and in VERY silly manner, the image has executables on it that - you just should remove as they are waste of space on PS2 drive in PS2 format.

How exactly do NTR cheats/plugins work?
I've been trying to figure this out so I can get cheats for MonHun Generations and Pokemon Sun but I think I'm doing things wrong.

I have a n3DS coming in the mail, and a currently unhacked o3DS on a ~8.something firmware sitting next to me.

If you're using A9LH+Luma3DS or an EmuNAND solution, it is safe to update as long as you're running the CFW.

Obviously if you're not running any hacks don't update like a moron, but use CTR-HTTPWN if possible.

I think it may complain that there's an issue with the NNID when you try to transfer, because the current NNID you have installed isn't usable on your current system.
You can delete the NNID from your system though.

The gist of these answers is yes, drop the memory card unless you want to use it purely for games as FHDB removes it as a requirement.
Flip that money towards a USB<->IDE adapter for your PC, if anything, which can then be used to write FHDB to the drive.

In that case, it's not that hard.
I'm writing this out assuming that you have already installed A9LH+Luma3Ds on your old 3DS.

Do the system transfer from your old 3DS to your New 3DS as normal, making absolutely sure that you're booted into Luma3DS CFW already, with the exploited DSiWare game already prepared before hand (incredibly important).

After doing this transfer, move your SD card or all of its contents from the old 3DS to the New 3DS. Bear in mind that the N3DS takes microSD cards, a regular sized SD card like in the O3DS won't fit.
To make sure your old 3DS can still boot, make sure that it has the correct /files9/ folder and arm9loaderhax.bin file on the root of its SD card. Doing a system transfer or a format will not remove the A9LH hack from the 3DS, but it also won't transfer it to the destination 3DS.

Once you've transferred your stuff to the New 3DS, you will find that everything will be intact, except for illegitimately installed stuff. Anything you installed from CIAs or FreeShop etc will be gone. They will show up as installed on the System Settings, but with a grey cross indicating you can't use them. It's easy to re-install them however and they should work again.
To be extra safe, use JK's Save Manager to back up the save games for things you care about. That said, JKSM can't do GBA VC saves.

I have no idea about VC saves if you're referring to GBA games specifically though, if you were playing custom GBA VC games you will need to find a way to back-up their saves and to restore them, I believe Decrypt9 can do this?

Guide in the OP. Do everything from sysnand. One of the first points it'll ask for your version and if you can access the browser. 9.2 should be your sysnand version and if you can access browser, click that

Near the end, there's a step to inject your Emunand into your new sysnand, that should keep your saves/games. However to be really sure, download JKSM before doing anything, export the saves, save them to your PC or whatever, so if anything's missing at the end, you can just import them back in.

When you load up freeShop, look on the touch screen for a list of installed games.
On that list, if a game has DLC or Updates available, you will see Green and Yellow /!\ icons. Click that list entry and click the download icon to download and install the DLC.
As a rule of thumb, always install updates before you install DLC.

I actually have a few questions about this. Supposedly you can unlink a nnid by formatting your system. It will keep on existing until you relink it back to your system, or so ive read. Actually deleting your nnid from the system settings should get rid of it permanently and that is the proper way to delete it if that is what you wanna do. My question/theory is if its possible to format your system, set up a new nnid after newly formatted, buy the game and inject the save and transfer that over to the other system to hack.
