I usually just use a running or strong (or unzip) attack to stagger their first grab, then wail on them.
Take a sedative, maybe heal and run to the second one. If you have a weapon on par with the fishing hamlet levels, it should be fairly fast.

No, just make sure your gems are focused on a particular stat or attribute instead of having stats all over the place. Keep in mind that element attributes (fire, bolt) are strong against certain units but also weak against others. I'd recommend avoiding a fire/bolt runes on your primary weapon and instead putting them on a side weapon. Or just buy the fire/bolt paper with insight.

I've played all aside from Demon Souls and I disagree, but I guess it just varies on experience. The combat in BB is a lot smoother and faster which made it easier for me to get into the flow of things whereas the combat in DS can feel a bit slow and clunky at times. I was using Ludwigs and found it missing despite his arms and what not being practically right besides me so I had to be right near him to hit the bastard. I got some spin to wins on me and one time it OHKO'ed me and his scream nearly killed me once as well. The only frustrating aspect was Ludwigs greatsword in trick form not landing a single fucking hit whereas my hunter's axe in trick for did just fine what a rip off.

Can anyone explain how that makes sense, if A) the hunt starts over immediately in one of the endings, B) the civilian hunters in central yarnham gets infected and turns into beasts themselves, and C) there are also brainsucking ayylmaos and arianna getting pregnant with a great one and all sorts of other non-standard-hunt shit?

It doesn't seem like it makes a lot of sense for the city to just go back to normal after all that crazy shit happened, even the civvie hunters go "THIS TOWNS FINISHED". Can anyone explain?

A regular Night of the Hunt is really just when a few people in the town turned into beasts as a normal process of being heavy users of blood, Church gets some lads together to clean up the mess. That's the hunt, they're turning into beasts and must be put down, that's why you are there.

Brainsuckers are church experiments, remember that Fakesefka is turning the clinic into the upper cathedral ward and even giants are around the streets, it must not be that unusual for a normal hunt. For Arianna, Mensis is doing the ritual to beckon something and after you kill Rom the blood moon goes up, shit hit the fan as she was hiding everything, Oedon impregnates anyone in Yharnam who has impure blood and the beast plague go nuts.

the ones I'm talking about are the civilian hunters, the ones who are killing the full-on beasts. They're supposed to just be regular guys who get armed by the healing church to kill the real beasts, so why are they becoming beasts themselves? It's the same with Gascoigne, theyre all out for a regular hunt, but end up becoming monsters themselves, which I think points towards that, like that other guy said, it isn't a regular hunt at all.

The feeling of being in a completely unfamiliar area and having no fucking clue of whats ahead or where to go is amazing.

Also got clickey-clack-stuck-in-the-sack for the first time, that was a terrifying experience, though it seemed odd that apparently you just explore the area then Lamp back to the Hunter's Dream again.

The ones with pichforks and torches are just the townspeople. The blood you and everyone else in town uses turns people into beasts. The church hides that because they're the ones giving blood to surpass humanity and no one is safe from becoming a beast. Some guys from here think you are immune because of the dream, since Gascoigne no longer dreams, he was no longer immune and needed his wife to use the music box to make him snap out of it. The church dweller says that this night is different from the beginning and even the people using incense hiding inside the houses are not safe. No one knows what would have happened had the ritual succeeded, maybe another Great One would been born?

As far as I can tell it's only the women, children, weak, cowardly or outsiders who hole up indoors. Anyone who can use a gun or swing a pitchfork is out on the town trying to kill the "real" beasts, like the werewolf in iosefkas clinic or the huge monster strapped to a burning stake in central yarnham.

The game mentions something about the healing church arming the populace on hunts, too, though I don't remember exactly where that's said. Point is I don't think they were meant to turn. Gascoigne and all the townspeople were responsible for carrying out the hunt, they weren't the target of the hunt themselves.

Cleric Beast and Amelia are the same type of beast, a Cleric Beast, like what Laurence also turned into. It seems to be a pretty standard creature for clergy to become, since clergy always make the most hideous of beasts. Basically, regular folks become Scourge Beasts, the werewolves, and clergy members become Cleric Beasts, or sometimes worse, like Ludwig who turned into a fucking horse.

Darkbeasts seem to be a Loran thing, one of the Chalice countries/lands, Loran had some ado with electricity and I think Darkbeasts are simply huge undead beasts reanimated with Frankenstein-tier mad science lightning. Paarl is just a named one, Loran Darkbeast is its own entity.

They're pretty slow, and vulnerable to backstabs. Just be patient and dodge. If they're too much for you, you can also just run past them or come back later. That area in particular is pretty good for farming, though.

I've just recovered recently from an injury and today was the last day to kill time and I see that bloodborne wasn't helping me pass the day by getting frustated to levels that are unlikely to happen it was just a one time thing
