On the contrary, I think it might end up being a one-of in some decks and you won't want two of them.

Without Gadgetzan to cycle this card quickly becomes worthless, it's useless topdecked. Tomb Pillager is great because it's a body that generates a coin. You can always use it, but still its not uncommon to see players occasionally get stuck with their extra coins in their hands.

The potential is amazing, realistically I will exhaust Rogue of resources and be dead weight too often to be a staple like it's being portrayed.

I'm not convinced Devolve is going to have a great place in current Shaman lists, but regardless it's a terrible card just because of how it can unilaterally shut down a lot of strategies in a 'no fun allowed' type way that will cause a lot of frustration for players.

I had very high hopes for this expansion.
It looked like every single class was going to get some fucking powerful cards, like, big power creep. To me, it looked like bufffing every single class would actually make the classes somewhat equal.

Maybe the card isn't that bad because it's made to work with the Jade Golems. Like you summon a swarmer then you put it in your hand with this card and summon it again. It might work in a deck that's focused on summoning jade golems where you can add brewmasters too to summon more minions that spawn golems.

I know it's unpopular to be positive in this thread, and I'm disappointed in the newest revealed card too, but can I give MSG props for a lot of positive elements too?

This is shaping up to be the expansion with the fewest random effects yet, and the random effects that we do have aren't very high variance.

We've got what, a few discover cards that aren't very playable and exist more for stories / narrative, the grimy goon buff cards, Kazakus, and devolve? Madam Goya and Finja, I guess?

It's a far cry from Karazhan for the people who are frustrated with high randomness cards. There's no swashburgling nor book babbling nor portaling, and the Barnes equivalent looks much weaker.

Unlike the current priest and paladin, rogue is not bad in the sense of having a shit classic set with no clear direction. Miracle is a viable archetype with very good results in tournaments. The problem is it gets completely trampled by hyper-effective tempo decks like shaman or zoo on the ladder.

That being said, she will only get worse simply because other classes keep getting better and cards like Tomb Pillager and Thaurissan are rotating out. There is no reason to keep giving her shit cards instead of an actually good weapon or weapon buffs. A viable weapon with deathrattle: heal your hero by the amount equal to this weapon's attack or something like that, coupled with midrange shaman hopefully getting weaker in the next rotation, could be enough to keep rogue afloat for some time, maybe even make the nerfed flurry playable.
