I hate DaS2 a lot but god damn there were some golden ideas that were scrapped for no reason.
Why is the only armor that actually does anything besides fashion/absorption/poise dusk crown and mimic head?
Going through 2 there was so much armor that actually had an effect.
I understand they probably didn't want armor effects to negatively influence fashion but they could solve that through a costume mechanic where what you appear to be wearing is different from what you're actually wearing. It's not like DaS is a pvp centric game, lol

Why is Demons' Souls so fucking outdated? I really wish I never played DaS1/2/3 and BB first.

Dark Souls feels better. Your character doesn't move like they are in quicksand all the time like in 2.
2 is way too slow, and animations are exaggerated. Headshot stagger lasts for like 5 seconds, poise staggers are floaty as hell. Speaking of floating, everything moves too much when they get hit. Enemies will literally slide out of range of your weapon when you hit them with one of the shorter range weapons and it happens all too often.

You cannot be invaded unless you're embered. You know that fiery glow you get from defeating bosses that increases your total health pool? That's being embered; you also get it from just using the ember items.

You can invade or co-op without having that status, but you can't be invaded unless you are embered. So, you have to decide whether you want to continue with less HP but no invasion risk or more HP but risk of invasion.

Using the Dried Finger item resets your invasion timer so that you can be invaded immediately. Normally, it takes 15 minutes (I think?) after an invasion before you can be invaded again.

The issue I think he's having is that when you attack Lorian usually he instantly counter attacks. And in my two fights with him I've never been able to roll out in time when using any Greataxe or UGS. Every kill I've had to step down to a quicker swinging weapon, which is confusing to me since I did champ gundy just fine with my greataxe and he seems like he's so much faster.

Painted world's rot seems to be unique to it alone. We can see some small signs of it in DS1 where undeads are walking with rotting faces.
It's unknown where Gael found the dark soul but i'm pretty sure that deacons don't control the creation of it, it forms naturally from human dregs for god knows how long already.
