Everyone and their mother would be s/l'ing (dc'ing) against high-ranking teams in order to go first or reroll on failed procs. Since this method would result in nearly everyone winning against teams with any ratio higher than 1.00, the ranks of those people would be inflated, and you would have to employ the same methods or actually use lapis and refresh orbs if you want to stay within the top 30k ranks. It's going to be like trying to earn a high score in Pokemon Shuffle challenges while the browser exploit was still alive.

No, you don't understand. There's no reason to reset anything, just carry over the battle state exactly as it is.

So if the coin has already flipped, don't reflip it. Just keep that information stored, and keep it stored locally so as to not change the server load (the game already does this for every other piece of content).

The only ONLY exploit I can even imagine would be using units to test the RNG seed for whether or not a particular status would proc, and then resetting if it doesn't to use a different move with that unit. So casting Bio Blaster, let's say, and if it doesn't poison anybody, reset to use sunbeam instead ...etc

But this could be solved by having it remember what units you've used too, and not resetting them to the beginning. It's that god damn easy.

If you were to d/c or close the app, it would have about a 90-95% chance of putting you back 1-3 seconds before the app was closed. If you're quick and observant enough, you should be able to tell whether or not status procs have landed on an enemy right after the action (e.g. Hex Strike) starts; so, if a desired proc hasn't landed, you would be able restart the turn by immediately closing the app.

Bosses are gonna start self-buffing a lot more often.

She does have an 80% auto-phoenix thing, but it's built into a 3-turn 80% self ATK/DEF buff. It's pretty sweet, considering she has passive MP recovery to soak up the cost.

Her AoE is also the closest thing to chain city you're going to see until orlandu comes. It's bananas.

If you've got a decent weapon on Agrias, the 4 Spooky Auras on Lid, and a non-garbage weapon on CoD, you want to Blade Blitz, Sunbeam, and Barrage. Unless you get some truly shit RNG, you'll kill at least one of them, and Cecil will eat half of the counter attack.

I have no idea what Seria's attacks are like, but if she's got an AoE non-fire attack, use it too.

Diablos is easy to get to if you ignore the event right now.

CoD would be the ideal unit to summon Diablos due to Man-Eater innate and Light Resist but since I don't have her yet, I'll have to get Cecil to do it since he has innate Light Resist. The loss of Firepower on the Toblerone would hurt though. I might actually switch her up with Kefka to kill Maxwell since she is weak to magic.

At best we'll have her vulnerable to debuffs and her HP is halved.

I might have to burn the tickets I got from the event to try to get CoD. I worry about CoDanon though since CoD is on banner and they have a tendency to draw her given that they already have 11 of her.

She came out about a couple months ago in JP, and was considered a challenge to them.

There was supposed to be five months of powercreep between now and then.
The holy trinity had already been fully assembled, 6* Garland, Exdeath, Rain, Lasswell, Chizuru, WoL, Tilith, and a million billion other good units, espers, and items inbetween.

Mages really shone in this battle, specifically 6* Exdeath and Majin Fina (neither of which we have).
A 6* tilith friend was also almost a necessity both for the elemental res+ and the reviving everybody.

5* tilith would be murdered turn 1.

Tanks will be oneshot without light resist, which currently doesn't exist outside omni-veil (only 30%).
Carbuncle was REQUIRED to have someone other than cecil who could stay alive.

Eileen/Tidus hit her like a sack of wet noodles, while exdeath could take a third of her health out with a W meteor. It was a mage fight.

Okay, for the future runs. Barfira on Agrias will help immensely. The vast majority of the damage on this event is fire. Aura ball will knock down the physical damage too. It'll take longer, but you'll survive. Your only real concern will be having enough MP to do enough damage on Boss Vargas.

BUT, if you're having trouble killing boss Vargas, you should just settle on running Intermediate, or getting a Luneth or Two as a friend unit. A 500+ Attack Luneth can kill everything with Hit All going twice. I've actually found him to be better than Lightning for this event, especially if he's got a Diabolos for Man Eater.

It is pretty important even for non-mage teams as even tho you don't have someone to take advantage of the magic increase, your still getting a spirit increase for your healer to heal more while letting the rest of your units take magic attacks better. Currently at 5* the only thing WoL has going for him is full break but that is outclassed by the stuff Cecil gets like curaja and focus. Once WoL gets 6*, then it's debatable on which is better.
Both Cecil and WoL are tanks yes but each one does different things. Cecil has curaja and focus along with a higher chance to block while WoL gets raise and full break while having a higher chance to be targeted. They are about the same ranking in the jp tier list.

She has one of the highest natural attacks in the game (very nearly THE highest, she's in the top 10), so she doesn't need a good weapon to play on the same level as other 6*s.

She's like CoD in that way. Her natural attack is so insane that it doesn't matter what you give her.

Her LB is orlandu's attack on steroids, with the caveat that you won't find a dupe of her anywhere to chain with. If you give her thunder spear I'm pretty sure she can chain off anybody else, though.

Garland is decent as a 5, and very good as a 6. But I'd give full priority to Refia right now, I was skeptical myself (I grew attached to Lenna), but the diffrence is big.

Not even for the better heals, better cheer and full-life, it was the bulkiness that really makes a difference.
Started the arena with Lenna, she died few times even under cheer - so far Refia hasn't.
Go for Refia, then slowly build Garland, so you don't burn your patience on a double grind.

Is there a chance it cant actually drop it? The thing is the wandering Treant has yielded nothing but its card, but there's another treant boss icon on the first step of the Mage locked path that I never bothered to do. Is it possible THAT'S the material treant and I just have some sorta fake roaming treant?

Or is there any trick at all to get materials to drop? In all my runs of SIlent Ruins the Golems also never dropped the earth material.

I only had Luneth and Cecil when I started, but thought that was a good base to go on while still rolling for Refia, which I did eventually get.

I'll level Firion when I get more info on when his 6* might show up. CoD's on the next banner and even though I don't have a good weapon for her, her buffs are very good.

Having a good base character pool definitely helps relieve that feeling of not being able to progress like my original account as well as stave off the ugre to pull when you don't need to.

I have the Toblerone/Garland/Kefka starting out and then afterwards added in 2 Alma(great robe TMR), 4 Mustard with the FFT part 2 banner(best gun TMR for DW), 2 P.Cecils during IV banner(obvious tank/Excalibur TMR is obvious), then an Exdeath/Firion/VLC Fina with the Halloween banner(best 3* base mage when awakened as well as Holy for my later acquisition, one of the best DPS, and VLC Fina for the Fina collection), then Vaan/Refia with III banner(best healer for some time and a decent FB user), and finally added in 2 Tilith/2nd Kefka/Hayate/Locke with BF Banner(new best healer and support at 6* with a great TMR to boot with two TMR, one for my future CoD and the other one being the best physical hat TMR).

I will draw on the next banner and go all out with the tickets, then do an 11 pull if I don't get CoD. Gaff would be nice in a TMR team given how good his Bracer would be for Toblerone/Garland/Firion, but he's not my main target.

I'm hoping and dreading that the banner after the Dark Destroyers is Light Guardians that would likely have Luneth/WoL/Agrias/Butts/Cecil as the rate ups. That banner would be a good segway into December.

I still no see a purpose in using tickets and 11-pulls on GL yet. They need to fix Gold and Rainbow crystals handing out awakened units.

Not only that, you should just do dailies until the last day of a banner, in which then you should go all out on tickets if you didn't get the unit you wanted.

In the event you get CoD on daily pulls, you wouldn't have used any of your tickets because you were rushing it. Unless you REALLY need CoD to try and get Maxwell and are able to power level her, then I could also see that as reason to try and get her sooner.

I suppose if you're a pay to play player, its not an issue, though I'm currently Free to Play, so I need to be a bit more patient when it comes to pulling units.

So is maxwell even good as a character?

Looks like a self-sustaining unit. Gets a huge auto-regen per turn, as well as a self 80% ATK/DEF/HP Reraise buff. Has AOE Esuna+Stona with a 1 turn immunity.

Though one thing that stands out is her Limit Burst hits 33 times to all enemies, so the numbers should be flying, as well as the combo count.

If you can beat the mission and its condition, its a 5* base, so can't really complain about that.

Barrage is only good on a unit that fails to have an attack skill already. Cecil for example could make use of something like that, or any 5* DPS that doesn't have their 6* yet and need a worthwhile DPS Skill, like Firion.

I'd probably go for Excalibur due to how ATK works. Its ATK*ATK, so it scales exponentially. Having a 120 attack weapon is great for DPS.

Most good mages as of now come with Dualcast or will get some form of Black Dual Cast. Dualcast is probably more important for double casting healing magic or status inflicting spells.

Could just save the moogle, its not like they get stale sitting around.

Doublehand is an ability that makes all of your equipment give 50% more attack from equipment if you only have one weapon equipped including non-weapons so a hyper wrist would give 15 attack instead of 10. It does stack if it's from different sources. An example of that is if you give a doublehand tm to demon Rain. But you can't just give him 3 more doublehand tms to give him 250% bonus attack, it would be capped at 100%. Does it outscale dual wield? Depends on the equipment you have really. But until something like 6* Garland comes out who can really take advantage of doublehand, dual wield is better if almost every way. Some units could end up getting higher attack with doublehand over dual wield but not enough to justify not having some of their abilities and autos hit twice.
