I think by that logic Mustaido is better because he can spend 1 turn breaking an enemy then has the potential to deal almost as much damage as Kain deals in two turns. While Kain is locked into 2 turns of dealing decent damage with no option to change incase something bad happens like healer gets knocked down or someone gets petrified.

That said Mustaido has very limited weapon selection, so I have to try to make sure I find a good weapon, since Kain can use spears, katanas, swords, and shields.

I faced that team and crushed it in 4-5 turns. Key here was power break on those toblerones. I want to draw a WoL now and use a team of Toblerone/WoL/Cecil/Refia or Exdeath/Tilith or Refia so that I have access to Arms Erase for that 40% ATK/MAG AoE Debuff. I've come to realize this game makes me suffer brief lapses in sanity, I got CoD to here from about a 4* level 15, using about oh 40 or so gigantuars. My karma supply has gone to hell and a good chunk of gil with it. The 3000 price reward tickets/the sword/probably a lot of other shit are out of my reach once again, its the pumpking all over again

So apparently, the latest exploration in JPBE has recipe for craftable 60 attack lightning katanas.

I wonder how that's going to change the meta, given how dual wield works. You only need one normal weapon and the lightning katana to deal 100% Lightning damage.

The main thing holding Toblerone back so far was the lack of a good lightning weapons. While still not the greatest, it certainly is an upgrade.

Compared to the 50% elemental resist debuffs, the breaking point of +2 Crushing Blow is only 8% of total attack. If the difference between the lightning katana and your off-hand is less than that, you'll pull ahead damage-wise.

For 100% debuffs (mainly Teedus' fully upgraded LB or the various darkness debuff faggots), it would take 15,5%, which isn't feasible at this point.

That seems like a fantastic budget options for those who don't have Agrias/Orlandus with multiple Excaliburs ouf to the ass. It's also a viable alternative for nuking when the enemy is 100% holy resistance, like e.g. the latest Ultima challenge boss.

Because I usually intend to replay Final Fantasies as long as they're enjoyable. If it's not enjoyable, I won't care about the content either. The system works. Beyond that I want to experience everything in a natural way and I want to be underpowered enough at the end of the journey so that the final boss will feel as climactic and threatening as it's supposed to, since that can't ever happen again after the initial playthrough without self-restraints, which are unnatural at the end of the day.

Well it would work, except that I did in fact replay a few of the worst games 3 times (initial, 100% and a second chance over a half a decade later, where I have never changed my mind and then swearing them off forever), to figure out why exactly they exist and all the ways in particular that they are so bad. But that's voluntary masochism after the fact and requires the game to be truly awful in a nonsensical way instead of an obvious one.

Yeah, but each event now has a reward called a Soul of Hero that is pretty much a wild card for characters. You can exchange those for any character you want, so you won't have to wait a hundred years for the next IV event to roll around or whatever.

I'm not sure, there is an Overwrite option in account management, so I suppose somehow with that. I was too far in the game when I learned about game mechanics, so I just rolled with mine.
