There are 5 different "class types" (warrior, mage, etc) and each of those has 5 different classes to choose from.

Two characters will share the same classtype meaning that in the end, you have 25 unique classes.

Each class has it's own stats (http://rrpg.jp/capture/mary_skelter/status.html) and skills that you can learn (http://rrpg.jp/capture/mary_skelter/fighter.html), and these skills cross over if you class change them. You can only learn skills with "CP" which you can't undo, though, and you gain 1 with each level up, so you need to plan out what sort of character you want.

For a few of the classes, I ended up just running through most of the game as one class and then hopping through classes to learn the skills I wanted before leaving them in the class with the best stats.

the games are their own canon at this point. HR really hammers that in since all the callbacks are consistent to the AU game version of the series. problem is said AU is an extended alternate ending of the first season set after they got married

i used premiere in place of silica for a while, but her fucking AI was bizarre. never attacked, stood around like a moron when given direct commands. constantly triggered the "Outlaw" personality bubble which made her prone to initiating switches and putting herself in the line of fire

her extra skill gives her a fucking AOE heal, but i only ever saw her do it once, at the beginning of a raid when literally no one needed it. after that i shelved her for breathy-voiced dragon loli who actually kills shit and haven't looked back

Dual Blades were renamed to Celestial Blades to fit with all the space-themed skills in its tree, call forward to Kirito's sword in Alicization, and his eventual ascension to the reality-warping Space King of the Underworld with his wife the Goddess Stacia

It's more like a VN than anything. You pick up items from the environment and use them when the time is right, kinda like in Phoenix Wright. Some of the mechanics like Max Mode could have been better, but since you can't really fail them it really doesn't matter too much.

Eh, it's decent enough. The localization seems to be pretty straightforward so that creates some odd moments but I think it's decent. The mystery itself was interesting enough at least for me, but the motivations seemed a bit odd sometimes to be totally honest. There's different routes that take it to different directions, there's some light hearted stuff but there's also some darker in the mix.

The characters are likable, not really excellent in my opinion but they do get the job done. Some are weaker than the others but the girls are especially cute.

I don't wonder the mixed reactions, it certainly isn't the top tier of VNs but I think for 20-30 it offers just about enough for your money to make it worth it. Under 20 hours and you've probably made through everything with a guide.

I've started my first Atelier game, Atelier Sophie, recently.
It's really fun, but I still don't get time management.
Up to now I haven't used the bed at all and just went around in town or dungeons all the time. Sometimes even stayed in dungeons over night.
Is that a problem? Should I use the bed more?
Also, is it bad if I waste a few days or can I take my time exploring everything and gathering tons of stuff?
