So I've been rockin' a hollow bleed build with Onikiri & Ubadachi for invading and it's been a ton of fun. I kill every phantom in a single combo and some hosts too.

The thing is I've still got quite a bit of weight to work with and I'm trying to figure out what weapon I should use in adition to the 2kat to cover its weaknesses.

Rate my improved minmaxed quality build, it can use any weapon under 13 weight making it very versatile in matchups

it can ring swap the first 2 slots for a RTSR, Lloyds, sun princess ring & chloranthy when needed

According to the poise calculator you need around 34 poise go through a running 2H medium weapon attack with a warpick/mace. I figure this might be a good counter to Follower Sabre/Carthus. Also at around 34 poise you can poise through a 2H medium weapon R1 with an UGS/Curved UGS running attack.

10 int is for pontiff knight sword which is an underated weapon imo.

DaS3 is good but linear.
The DLC patch made hyperarmor and heavy armor usable again so while people complain about the pyros being "op", at least poise is no longer completely useless and if it had been like this from the start, I think a lot more people would've thought that DS3 was the best game.

The DLC weapons like the Crow Talons and Crow quills are extremely fun and again, if there were more unique WAs like that, it would also contribute to decreasing the sameyness from DS3. I would've actually been alright with some weapons not even having weapon skills if it had meant some weapons could've gotten more unique weapon arts in the base game.

I need help. Some tips.

I got started on Ashes of Ariandel last night, after a long break from DaS3. I at Friede, and she is absolutely pushing my shit in. I've managed to down her, and initiate the second fight when her daddy joins, but I can only get them to 50% hp before I just can't keep up anymore.

I'm SL 79, with a +10 corvian scythe(not infused). The build isn't super optimized, I'm sure, 40 Dex, 30 str, rest has been put into vit and end right now.

My tactic thus far, in second phase, has been to focus on her, since it seems easier to lure her away from the big guy, which makes it roughly 1v1. Is this the wrong way to go about it? Also, when she does the invis thing in phase one, my thinking thus far has been to use sound to determine where she is, face her, and then just be ready to dodge in the splitsecond I see her before she does the grab. Is this the right thing to do?

Pls halp. I've been away for too long, so I'm rusty as shit.

Summoning NPC phantoms really turns the lackluster fight into a more entertaining spectacle. The phantoms give you ample opportunity to stomp deacons until you want to progress the fight. Granted, this turns the fight into a stomp fest, and removes whatever challenge existed. On the other hand, the challenge that was there is pretty negligible: You don't lose much.
