So, I was asking this earlier.

I like using two handed and sword and board / sword and spell for my battlemage of sorts. (Or whatever else it's called when you use light armor instead of heavy as a battlemage)

Is it REALLY harmful to put points into both one handed and two handed if I have magic perks to worry about too? What about using two handed but not using perks with it? I know that would gimp me but I'm ok with it being slightly weaker without having to use perks on it.

So yea, is it viable to do one perked and one non-perked to save perk points? I feel nervous it will fuck up my leveling process of the skills even if not perked.

That's all well and good, but there's always room for improvement. If anyone can make suggestions I'm definitely open to hearing them. In some cases I only use the stuff I do because I don't know of anything better. A big crest something like pic related would be my ideal hairstyle, but all the mohawks I've seen are a little too clean cut or unimpressive looking.

I'm trying to play enderal, but Jesus I cannot stand the constant FPS dips when looking off in certain directions. I have never understood how skyrim (or enderal in this case) can drop frames before my pc even can break a sweat (not even taxing my gpu or cpu cores by 50%)

I have fucked with it, trying to force it to have a steady frame rate and nothing I do works. Shadows, LOD distance, multithreading, onetweak, set texture quality to medium. Anyone figure out how to get enderal to run at a stable 60fps?

Is there any mod (or would there be a way to mod it) that can changes the sneak meter to a letterbox? As in, no letterbox while undetected and/or out of combat, but appears as an enemy is searching and comes in fully once combat has begun.

I know going UI-less is uncommon, and liking letterboxing even moreso, so if I had to learn how to mod this in where would I start?

I'm already shooting spells and arrows without a crosshair and don't have a compass as at all first time I've used clairvoyance in 400 hours, and this would be nice actually know what's going on a bit more.

Uninstalled UNP and other texture I had, installed WICO, then installed only the meshes from UNP, installed the textures again.
Got it working with UNP body and armor conversions, Eyes of Beauty, Northborn Scars, and Oldrim True Brows.

Install Demoniac (CBBE muscular textures and pubes) Only overwrite the parts that say "female body"?
Depending on how it looks maybe add a mod for fem orc faces only and only the parts that say "femaleorchead"

Since I'm using WICO's face and body textures, UNP nude didn't had texured nipples, and it was creeping me out, so I went with a non-nude version.

If you go like you say, you're going to end up with missmatched body and face textures and it will look horrible. Just use CBBE with Demonic and the orc textures.

Here is my Orcfu. I was lazy and used like one main mod to help me and I barely played with the in game options because I was ok with what she looked like already. It's basically just a mod smoothed out face with different eyes, nose and mouth as the default faces.

If there is any constructive criticisms you have, feel free to share. No Racemenu though.

The release of Skyrim Special has gotten me looking into starting up a new game. But SKSE64 doesn't exist yet and there's no timeline for release, SkyUI doesn't exist and the mod authors aren't interested in changing it over, and a bunch of other mods are in about the same state.
Then I go to youtube and find this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mczA3LlUyWo and in a lot of cases I can't tell the difference other than the Special edition looks a bit grayer or brighter. Shit, I can use the mods that already exist for Oldrim and just make that look much better than Newrim.

Is there any point to playing a heavily modded SSE right now, or should I just crack open a new modded and visually improved game of Oldrim?

This screenshot was taken outside Winterhold at about 1:00PM in-game. The overcast sky is obviously brightly lit and this Nord guy is surrounded by bright, white snow. There should be tons of light bouncing off of him from all directions, but he looks like he's standing in a poorly lit cave.

ECE was better until RM got Sculpt. Prior to that, VE allowed for better characters. RM also has better support and a much better overlay system and integrated BS support and the like, so yeah, it's flat out better now.

You give the Skyrim engine too much credit. It doesn't treat reflective surfaces as light sources. You can remove the deep shadowing on characters like that by turning off screen space ambient occlusion in the launcher, but will remove the effect everywhere.
