1. There is not a large difference in levels and you fuse a demon that is considered 1 rank lower than the demons you are using as fusion material.
2. The result is the highest level of a demon of a certain type. For instance, two high leveled demons might result in a Foul type demon when they fuse, but since the highest Foul type demon is level 37 all you're going to end up with is a Mad Gasser even if the demons you are using as fusion material are much, much higher in level.

I've only listened through all the voice files in the game, so maybe it's explained better in context, but that line to me sounded like he was trying to get Toki's body to cooperate with what Inanna wanted to do.

Keep in mind that when you first met, Toki couldn't have given any less of a fuck about your existence if she tried. But Inanna's influence, combined with the jars, drove Toki insane. She uses Nanashi as something to ground her into reality so that she doesn't go off the deep end.

For the training simulation, I think I did a bit of trial and error figuring out what order the enemy attacks in to repel their specific elements, and whittled down on thing on the far right with regular attacks. There's probably a more efficient way to do it though.

There's two full armor sets in there actually, Wings of Order and Horns of Chaos. They're the same strength as the Master Suit, but have a unique design to them, each upper body piece negates an element while resisting another so you can replace specific elemental coverage with them if you wanted. The Superior Samurai gear from the Black Card armory has better stats on the head and legs than all of those, but only by a minor amount.

Haven't been through any stat doors(or didn't know they were), but I remember hearing they're mainly used for shortcuts.

They never mention what you are actually doing it for. The opposite actually, they question why you are doing it and you are never allowed to give a concrete response, which leaves it rather vague.

But that's part of neutrality in general. Neutral rarely lets you give a real response. When satan asks you you can say freedom or truth. You can't say peace or muh hierarchy. You're not meant to be able to interpret it as swaying hard law or chaos. You becoming a god related to the ideological structure of the new world. Humans in general being individualists is referred to as evolving. But you at the head evolve even further to a literal rather than merely metaphorical god.

His last spiel before the split seems vague, but danu complains that it would change humans, and that people's bonds to others are what makes them human. And your team mates agree. So even though his dialogue was written badly, we are meant to get that he wants people to not need these bonds, and will rewrite them in a way where they don't. Atlus isn't one for making infinitely nuanced endings. The alignment system slants you towards what the tone that is wanted for the new world is going to be. Dagda actively despises people relying on eachother. Even at times it doesn't make sense. So the new world will involve them not doing so.

In the end, his ending about making humans have to strive to become stronger more or less resembles a chaos ending. Except where you try to prevent there from being demons for some reason. And the individualism becomes more stupid. But there's less overt pointless fighting.

I'm playing a romhack of donkey kong country 2. I've wanted this for decades. Or maybe just one decade. One and a half. The level colors and remixes are cool, but the level design is questionable. When I make my own donkey kong country 2 remake, I'll change the color of the beehive to white and call it shene duque. There'll be like a megaten theme to it. There'll be law and chaos levels. Obviously the fire ones will be repurposed all for a chaos theme. And I'll change some other ones to match. Like making the pirate ship be riding on a sea of lava. And the ice ones will be law. There will be a crossover with an ice level with lava in it. There will be some neutral too.

Okay, how does this look

Law: beehive, ice cave, bramble. (added: pirate ship riding on cloud, with a silent background).
Chaos: lava levels, pirate ship riding on lava, haunted house. Maybe the jungle levels changed to resemble the sj chaos end?
Neutral?: everything else? I'll probably only do a few neutral levels.

Mind you, this won't all be set in stone. Some of it will be mixed up. For instance, I'll do some law pirate ship levels, by having the water look like clouds, like its an airship. I'm not sure what alignment the carnival levels will be. Neutral maybe? Then again, the haunted house levels have books as a background. Changing the lighting to make it lighter would make for a good law level perhaps.

Bramble is of course by clouds, so that makes sense to represent heaven. The shitty generic castle levels will be chaos, I guess. That might leave too little for neutral. Obviosuly some level types can be multi purpose. Only a few will be strictly used definitively only for one theme. Maybe the haunted forest can be repurposed. Since there's too much for chaos already. Or should there be no lava pirate ship for chaos, and have that be entirely law? I suppose I could stretch to make a few more law ones.

In all reality though, level design is impossible, so it would take literal years to finish with any competency. Triply so for a game like that that has more tiles than most people could even dream. So mapping them out in a way that flows would be impossible.

Enduring Soul is a requirement if he wants to do TT, you can almost look at it as doubling your effective HP pool at the cost of losing all your buffs when you drop below 50%. You are on a strict 10 turn limit before you get booted out so you don't have the luxury of taking a turn or two to recover from deaths. It's an absolutely amazing skill and every single demon should have it.

I've seen some japanese megaten fans being puzzled about Atlus' lack of attention to Digital Devil Saga. It didn't sell well but got good reception and it has a very dedicated fanbase. Yet somehow they stopped mentioning it a year or two after DDS2 release. Raidou had a long running manga and a couple of figures 5 years after Raidou 2 yet DDS doesn't even get mentioned.

Here's an idea for an SMT side game crossover I thought of

No Kaneko is an old style artist, he draws really roughly but the actual design concepts are really really good.

Eh, Kaido is okay but he just doesn't really develop much. That's part of the weakness of DeSu1, there's a lot of characters but a lot of them are thrown around and barely developed.

DeSu2 boxer is pretty shit though.
