Do I stand a ghost of a chance against Giant of Babel - PRO?

I tried it last night with one of my best Lightning buds from someone here (460ish attack), first boss is easy because Terra can raise, I beat Rubicante but was btfo pretty badly and only Lightning was still standing. I'm still new to the game and forgot to set up my items, so maybe if I try again with a tent and some phoenix downs / ethers I might be able to crawl through, but I don't know, my party can't do anything besides heal, dispel, and raise, so it's Lightning doing everything and there's no time to level my units

Yes. If you played during the demons event just craft the void vessel, they upped his HP to 2100 so it won't kill him in one use, but with 100 HP left any other item will kill him.

If you can't use it, you will need to paralyze / sleep him and use 5 200 damage items and finish him in the next turn. If you don't para or sleep he will use the 10000 needles and kill someone, although I have seen runs where he doesn't 10000 needles in the same turn he procs his charge move, so it might be rng if he does 1 or 2 actions in the turn. I don't think gravity works on him.

Well it isn't completely hopeless since there were white mages in the top 500 of the previous battle tower rankings.

The sicarius cards from mp can break the damage limit without being augmented. Your biggest problem is probably you inability to drive wind. I would say use earthforce but they haven't released Hashmal(Earth Sicarius) or dust mage(earth), so your only option if you're going the earth route is to spend an insane amount of ability tickets to boost fusion and growstars to augment an earth mage card from the shop.

And even if you do all that, there's no guarantee that you'll get in to the top 500.

In JP the prismatic egg is purchasable with gil, so there's a chance we could see it return some day.

So these are my pulls so far. I have been loving Shadow & Shantotto, but don't know which guys are best to work on. I just got Rosa, but I don't have the resources to 5 star her so I think at my level WWFina is better because Cura is better for me than Curaga's single target. By the way I have been holding onto my gems like a miser and only doing the daily half rare summon. I am guessing that like most mobile games you get gems thrown at you early and then they dry up later to try to get you into the habit of spending gems to get you to buy more.

Any advice for a noob at this game?

I think a reroll might be better off for you since I see no units capable of getting to 6* other than VLC Fina. BC Lid is good but will become outclassed when the good 6* physical attackers become available.

You want to have 2 6* capable units other than Rain and Lass in your beginning roll. Look for WoL/Garland/Firion/CoD/Cecil(either DK or Pally)/Butts/Exdeath/Terra/Kefka/Vaan/Ramza/Delita/Agrias/Lightning/Chizuru in your beginning roll and reroll if you don't get one of the above.
