Dark Souls as a series is getting stale, it's 2016 ffs they need to embrace new ideas like:
-New weapon types like murkrets or a medievil bazooka and you can take cover for things that are shoot back at you
-Parts where you have to run away from a huge enemy and the huge boss chases you to a turrent and you use it to kill him
-Other parts where you can use turrents on loads of people or even a catapult
-You can see how many kills and deaths you have in pvp and the more kills you get unlock extra abilities for you and new skins for your weapons and armour
-Free running and climbing up on sthings
-You have a npc partner and he is an ethnic and he makes jokes and he gives you estius flasks and stuff when your in trouble
-If you get backstabbed or parryed you can press a button at the right moment and you do a counter
-Bosses arent just running around hitting them you can get to like press buttons at the right time and it does damage
-Vehicle sections like on a horse and cart or a boat or like a stone age motorbike and gliders
-When someone invades it asks you if it's ok and if you press no then they are sent away
-You can go into peoples houses and talk to them
-If you get hit then dont get hit for a while your health comes back
-You can have a romance with someone and even it can be a man if you are a gay
-Better support like map packs for arena and new weapons and amrour or better versions of weapons and armour in the game
-Moderators chosen from popular members of the community, they will monitor for poor sportsmanship and ban those they feel are a negative influence on the community & metagame
-Some people need you to get things so you can go get them and bring them back and they give you souls or items
-You can get a pet and they go around and find items for you and secrets so you dont have to search around so much
-You can do a crafting if you gather enough materials or you can buy the materials for money

Heavy weapons SHOULD require heavier armor OR actual skill to use them. To counter what you are saying you can make the heavy weapons deal MORE POISE DAMAGE which THEY DO to stun the retard in the light armor.

Poise is needed because there is no reason to use the heavy weapons when a tiny 1 cm dagger can stagger you and swing 5 times in your 1 swing.

Alright, 40/40, +10 pyro flame, both pyro rings
It shoots 3 times, staggers each time but doesn't seem to stunlock (though the npc is retarded and facetanks all 3), so 243 damage total.

It shoots at WHATEVER YOU HAD TARGETED WHILE CASTING. If you're unlocked and press the cast button, it shoots as if you freeaimed a spell there. If you are locked on and unlock after casting/do whatever, it still shoots at your lock-on target.

Like even wearing rags with like 15 poise, a mace can swing through a curved sword or straightsword or axe or rapier etc. like 4 times without breaking.

The dex-y weaponclasses do nothing to HA

Meanwhile some weapons seem to do so much poisedamage that it's impractical to HA them. Mace, Wolf GS, BK weapons etc. all seem to be able to consistently interrupt 30poise ultra weapon HA. It seems like you'd need to stack an insane amount of poise to not have your ultra lose out to some of these things.

Meanwhile some greathammers seem to be able to HA through other ultras with ease. Earlier today I HA tanked a Yhorm's R1 with only 17 poise, which just seems silly. But then other greathammers don't seem to behave that way, and break to greatsword R1 even with 30 poise. It's all so wish-washy, counterintuitive and inconsistent.

I really do like the paradigm that ultras can't HA one another, though. Hyperarmour dickwave fights are stupid and weapons of the same speed shouldn't be unable to stagger one another.

The poise stat on armour is functionally "poise damage defense." The listed number for your "poise" is a direct %-based reduction to incoming poise damage. You have effective poise health that doesn't change no matter what armour you are or aren't wearing, so even while naked you can hypothetically poise through an attack with one of your own. All GSs used to have 1.5 modifiers. Hollowslayer was not unique in this. In fact, even thought he hollowslayer's R1 started up quicker, its HA began on the exact same frame as every other GS.

The reason that the hollowlsayer is the best GS is because it has the same R2 thrust as the claymore but with more AR. That's it.

Patch, senpai. Heavy armor now gives more poise, light armor gives less to zero poise, hyperarmor for all weapons is significantly more fragile now.

In other words, they left poise the same as its been since launch but made the effects of high and low poise way more dramatic. It's now basically impossible to ignore and pretend its hyperarmor now, you gotta stack poise to get your hyperarmor back but when you do it's way stronger. By the way, Wolf Ring and Yhorm's Shield got a nerf.
