I've got the Loadine GX2 mod that allows for pirated DLC, Mario Kart 8, and the Mario Kart 8 DLC. In Loadiine, I have the "Enable DLC Support" and "Enable DLC no legitimet" enabled, and Launch Mode set to Super Smash Bros. mode.

No, you don't need to install anything else on your 3DS. It should work by just copying the flashcarts kernel to the root of the Micro SD. Then you just put the Flashcart in the carts slot and it should show up on your Home Menu.

Yes certainly. In general modern consoles should be easier to do high level emulation with since their operating systems also use pretty much the same libraries as x86 PCs do now for many things. The dev of the 360 emulator suggested you could implement a PS4 or xbone emulator on a hypervisor basically. I think the biggest hurdle with emulating the x86 consoles is encryption and not trying to replicate the behavior of a drastically different processor, as is the case with stuff like ps2 and ps3

You can have, I think it was, 40 DSiWare titles installed.
The problem is, they're installed not on your SD card but in your NAND. So, if you run out of space on that you can forget to install another title.

Is it not a good theory that you could get the DLC from the NUS then patch the tik file in the same way and install it?
