That being said the reason why that card can be decent (especially in Arena) is because it's useful when you go first and your opponent is planning to do something like Ding Dong or Veteran Lancer on Turn 2. It puts a lot of pressure on the board and forces a trade on their part.

At most all Sword needs in terms of spells is Death's Dance and Alwida. Alwida is a "spell" and Death's Dance is useful often for the sake of doing face damage and just to avoid trading.

They can afford to do 90+% followers because their followers all have built in effects anyway. Floral Fencer refills the board, Maid Leader is amazing as cycle, Blader is basically just a draw two cards + a decent body, etc...

It's amazing how efficient their cards are. If Haven wasn't so strong right now, Sword would be all you saw because you can run budget versions of the decks that are nearly as effective. It has really good core cards and very solid matchups all around.

Just got 3 wins in arena with forestcraft. It wasn't too terrible, I lost a game because I made a poor mulligan decision, and then lost my last game because of an Eris who had tons of storm. Would be a good idea as a defensive strategy to grind dailes to craft the most essential class legendaries so that I won't be totally screwed when it it comes to grinding dailes while at a high rank? Let me clarify, I'm not asking what decks should I craft. I'm asking if I should craft each class' most essential legendary, just enough so that I can cobble together decks that are good enough for completing any class daily when at highish ranks. Then I'd just craft 2 Cerberus if you have the golds for it. Aggro Shadow is still good enough to get a few wins here and there in free match. You could probably already do missions with Dragon and DS Rune with what you already have for legendaries. Storm Haven will always be cheap because of Garuda. You might be able to make an Aggro Blood deck depending on your golds. Any good Forest deck is expensive so if you make those 3 Ancient Elf's you'll need all the golds to go with it and at least two Tia's.

In Arena? Ceridwen is insane. You'll never get the effect off of Tyrant but it's still 3/3 storm. Gabriel requires you to have board, Ceri can swing an empty board by herself. Spirit Cycle isn't good in Arena.

What fucking Haven deck are you playing against? Elana doesn't run many wards (some don't even run Bellringer) and storm runs no heals. Seraph is super uncommon on ladder because it autoloses to DShift and isn't as good against aggro as Elana or CSword.

The most common Haven build is storm. That runs 0 wards or heals.
The second most common Haven build is Elana. That runs 0 or 3 wards depending on the list.
The only other real Haven list is Seraph, and that doesn't have that many heals or wards either.

I've been playing free for about 3 months and have at least one of nearly every legendary in the game (including the ones from the expansion that's been out for less than a month), and in many cases multiple copies. I've been sparing in my usage of dust but even after crafting multiple sets of golds (this game's equivalent to epics) I still have enough to craft 5 more legendaries (or like 20 golds) when I want to. I also have 30 packs or 20 arena runs worth of unspent gold, so if a new set came out tomorrow I'd be able to get the bulk of the new cards into my collection immediately.

So overall I'd say the game is very forgiving to new players.
