So I just got my first blazblue game and I'm a bit lost on what character to start playing. At first I tried Hakumen but he feels so janky,I turned off that shitty stylish mode because doing fucking supers for just pressing jab is no way to play.

My only real fighting game experiance is SF4U so this is pretty different to me, but hakumen was so weird I think because of his counters. Granted I know jack-all shit but is there like a "beginner" character to try to start learning how things go? Also what does "dp" mean?

The only pair we never hear complaining from is Ignis/Relius. I never see Ignis whine about the state of their marriage, so I'd assume it's happy.

Kazuma actually isn't dead, just stuck in the Cauldron or Boundary, and Hazama/Terumi came back from those places easily. It wouldn't surprise me if in Blazblue XRD equivalent Terumi remains gone, but instead we get Kazuma who'd inherit his moveset. There's just no way Terumilitary would be permanently dissolved, that'd be bad for Arcsys' business.

At least Celica got to go out on her own terms. she gave most of her magic and power to Rachel so she could have enough power to teleport the group out of the closed space. Ragna telling Noel not to look back as she cries since Celica is already gone was pretty heartbreaking.

Ragna, Jin, Es, and Tsubaki are good characters to help you learn the game. There are other easy characters like Bullet or Terumi, but if you want to get a better grasp on the system, I recommend one of the 4 I listed. Makoto would probably also work since they made her execution easier in CF.

DP generally refers to a special move that uses a 623 motion (forward, down, downforward). Normally in games it's used as an anti-air, but the real key point is that it has invincibility on startup. This means that if you get knocked down and the opponent attacks in the same moment you wake up, you can DP instead of having to block since you will be invincible for the entire startup of the move.

I recommend waiting until the NA release of the game so that you can use the tutorial, because the ones in the past games have been really good so I don't expect anything less from the new one.
