So I bought continuum shift extend and a bunch of other fighting games and have been spending a long time trying to understand the fundamentals and appeal of fighting games. The genres surprisingly enjoyable once you actually get good enough to move of off easy computers to start playing more difficult bots. I would play online, but most of these fighting games, especially continuum shift extend seem to have their servers down, I've been trying for 20 minutes to get a single match but nothing, on both ranked and player matches, similar thing with persona 4 arena ultimax in terms of ranked. I guess I'll have to stick with higher difficulty bots to simulate better players.

I've found a character I love in most of these games i picked up already, I love how useful jin is in most situations for a player who isn't good enough to perfectly counter certain things.
Is there any way to go above the level I'm currently at, what's the best way to train, going against computers to gain confidence and understand the basics and fundamentals is great and all, but how do I start to perform simple combos, especially when you tend to freeze up in battle and combos are your last priority, all you can really do in most fights is react to your opponent and then go aggressive if your counter is succesfull, but then only for a short time until they retaliate.

Also what the hell is with the story of blazblue? It makes no sense. I know fighting games are infamous for terrible story lines but still.

I think the most jarring ones are Bullet and Azrael having a good time as well as Platinum and Hazama.

Yeah, from playing both campaigns of continuum shift extend, I kind of figured out the fact that they're are multiple timelines that can effect each other and the end of the world has happened several times, as far as I can tell, as for the whole observer thing, I guess certain God like characters like hazama and rachel can observe these multiple timelines. But that's as much as I get, I have no idea whats up with the three wisemen(I think that's what they where called), the chairs with animated shadows.

BB's story makes sense, it's just has a bunch of optional fluff that doesn't really go anywhere. A lot of the confusion comes from the fact that it was a story in progress and you straight up weren't supposed to understand some stuff.

Now that Central Fiction is out and most of the major mysteries have been "explained", you can pretty easily condense the entire story as:

- Humanity discovers God.
- Humanity try to take control of God by dumping a girl in it, fuck things up hard, and set off a massive war.
- The war ends with the world being destroyed, so the girl resets the world because she just wants a normal life.
- The girl is a MASSIVE brocon and wants to reunite with her brother's soul.
- Unfortunately the world of BlazBlue is really fucked up, so he keeps dying, so she keeps resetting time.
- The endless time loops piss off various figures and cause even more problems.
- The girl goes crazy from the time loops and basically fractures her soul, causing even more problems.
- Proving that if you put enough monkeys in a room full of typewriters you can get Shakespeare, the stars align and the older brother is able to make it to the sister.

There's a whooooole bunch of other stuff concerning each character's actions, but that's the "main" plot.
