That usually means "open this door for me so I can pull what's behind it and make the dungeon go faster". Tanks can't open doors mid-combat because they have a bunch of enemies attacking them and interrupting interactions.

If you could have anything right now, what would it be?

I'm a big Final Fantasy fan and am considering jumping into XIV, however I've never played an MMO. I have a few questions before I commit.


1) Is it easy to pick up for a complete newbie? Do I need a basic understanding of MMO's at all because as I said, I've never played one.
2) Do I need to be playing with a group of people or can I go at it alone? I don't know anyone who'd be likely to jump in with me but I'd be willing to find folk if it's necessary.
3) How close gameplay wise is it to other Final Fantasies (Fantasi?). My favourites have always been VII, IX and XII, they had the most satisfying gameplay/world to me, but I've played all of them since IV, what things gameplay/story wise does it have in common with the rest of the series.

Normal dungeons are still better. A good chunk of exp every run that may last about 15-25 minutes.
PotD probably only gives a decent chunk of exp after 10 floors which might take more than 30 minutes depending on your party setup, and that people run it for the rewards so people might skip some adds.

you need a group for a lot of content but there's an automatic "dutyfinder" which will find you a balanced group automatically, all you do is queue.

gameplaywise, it's not really very similar at all. as for story it's somewhat similar but it's stretched out with a lot of pointless bullshit (literally on a quest to find cheese while kobolds are summoning the ability to level an entire island instead of just dealing with it). it's better in hindsight than it is while you're actually playing it

1. Yes, absolutely. Especially if you go with something like Monk, which has a very hand-holdy rotation up until you decide to go serious with it. There are also helpful explanations on how to do things before you do them, generally.
2. You don't have to play with a group of people since the game gives you options to just queue with others, though it does make things speedier if you know people to party up with.
3. The gameplay is very close to XII, actually. Story-wise its very on its own, though its focused on crystals as always, and you'll notice some definite similarities to XII outside of the direct-from-XII monsters like the crocs and mirrorknights. There's also about six shitbillion references and even bosses from older games in, too.

1.) Yes. It's super simple and easy so start on. The game has a lot of guides in-game as well.
2.) No. The game feels like a solo game until you reach end-game. There's something called Duty Finder which lets you group up with other random people if you're going to do instanced group content.
3.) The gameplay is nothing close to any Final Fantasy since it's an MMO, but I'd say it's close-ish to FFXII for being a real-time action combat, no such thing as encounter screens.

Goldberg was dropping very obvious hints that he wants to wrestle again, at least one more match or so. There was some shit talking to Brock during the ESPN interview, and Brock did some shit talking back recently during a separate interview. At least age has treated him fairly well. He still has the body to fight even at this age, probably not as strong, say 10 years ago. But he's still got power. I'm sure that'll be a set up for one of the ways that Goldberg would lose if he fought Brock again.
