2. Have it be pre-reboot Silver. Hear me out, displaced Pre-reboot Silver manages to make it to the current reality with most of his memories intact. So he remembers EVERYTHING. Now you would have to do a lot of legal dodging to get this to work. And you could run with the two sets of memories thing. Except with Silver, since he's been to so many alternate timelines, it's no longer two sets but like 4, so essentially he starts losing his mind and needs to find some way to root himself in this timeline

No problem. I just wanted to get those out there because I was rather disappointed with how Silver's being handled right now. There's some parts I like, such as the hellhole future being a different kind of hellhole, and Von Schlemmer himself being entertaining, but the rest of the arc falls flat for the reasons >>156900863 stated. plus the Council being rather flat. I feel as if Silver himself is off to a rather weak start. Now granted, my statement about Evan not writing was a bit misplaced. After all, I realized Ian was a bit rusty when he first started out so I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully the next Silver arc gives me more confidence in her abilities

Oh yeah, I still liked it. Seeing how the NPCs are getting on in their lives as the game progresses. Nearly all of them having their own little mini story to themselves and with other characters.

I still think Prof. Pickle should've been a reoccurring character. Hell, Unleashed was the perfect place to start fresh and build a set world to be used in future games. Shame that's been thrown out the window.

No. The medals exist only to halt progress and to be collected.
Stars are rewards for completing a task or overcoming an obstacle. They aren't just sprinkled in retarded spots just to be a pain in the ass. They are also far more lenient in allowing the player to do things. Before being able to fight Bowser for the first time you have access to 4 different worlds and a secret. The door only requires 8 stars out of the 26 available to the player. I haven't played Unleashed since it came out but I'm pretty sure the medals are not a central element of the gameplay or the primary objective in each level and I'm also pretty sure they're a lot more strict than the Power Stars in SM64.
You probably shouldn't make dumb arguments if you're going to complain about mine.

While I don't think a Sonic Maker would need anything as complex as a scripting engine, there is the fact that each zone if not each act in a Sonic game has its own unique obstacles, gimmicks, and enemies. Mario Maker works because Mario games usually have a few types of enemies and obstacles spread over a few level types. Sonic has a lot more shit in a single game.

This is what should have been done for Metal Sonic's creation:
It should have been so that Eggman created Metal Sonic in the Bad Future of Little Planet using data collected from Sonic (in Sonic 1) and the Time Stones power. Thus, Metal Sonic would be an evil Sonic counterpart from the future with time manipulation-enhanced speed. Meaning, he would pretty much be like the Flash's enemy Reverse-Flash(/Professor Zoom/Eobard Thawne). AND, not only that, but he would end up being a parallel to Sonic, Shadow, AND Silver all at once since he's an artificial copy of Sonic created by a Robotnik AND he'd be a Sonic from the future with time travelling abilities.

Sonic levels are a lot more vertical and multi-faceted than Mario levels. Mario levels do have secret paths and exits, but those are typically offshoots from the main course accessed via pipes, while Sonic levels have at least three or four distinct and interlacing paths to the exit per act.

How about this: An alternate universe/timeline version of Sonic that became ... "glitched" somehow or something along with the Chaos Emeralds, and his life pretty much turned him into an Evil version of Sonic. Like, he is just as free-spirited and rebellious as Sonic normally is, but without any of the selfless heroic "gotta do what I think is right" spirit. Unlike Shadow, he isn't a "Dark-Sonic", and unlike Shadow, Metal Sonic, Blaze, and even Knuckles, there is nothing controlling him or tying him down at all. He is truly just as free as Sonic, which makes it even worse. He has no aspirations to become a king or ruler (because why would Sonic want to be a king of the world?), all he does is cause senseless mayhem and destruction on a massive scale. He doesn't really have to be from an alternate universe, the point is he's a "Glitch" Sonic, like, let's say he looks like the "Ashura" glitch (maybe without the name...), and his existence came to be because of some chaos energy induced glitch in the universe that caused a duplicate of Sonic to be created but without Sonic's sense of morality and heroism and all that.
