Been playing it roughly 6 hours a day after work. Got a hero chao, working on a dark chao, and a Knuckles Chao and Nights Chao. Unlocked all characters except Emerl. Cream is OP as all hell and Mighty is way up there as well.

Only issues I have with it is the Casinopolis zone is just broken, the physics in pinball are so bad I can only play as flying characters to bypass those areas entirely, and for some reason City Escape, and only City Escape runs at 3 frames per second to the point of nearly freezing.

Besides her crazy obsession with wanting to get Sonic to marry her by kicking his ass for reason, it was (sort of) justified why her team attacked Sonic Team. However, it would've made more sense if they talk it out instead of fighting.

Now that I think about it, Marine is supposed to be Blaze's answer to Tails, right? Well, Sonic is the Wind, and has unmatched SPEED right? Tails can FLY and appears to be the Sky like how Sonic is the Wind. The 'sky' and 'flight' are very intimately connected to the 'wind' and 'speed'. So, Marine shouldn't be associated with water if Blaze is fire, because having water would be like the Knuckles to Blaze's Sonic. If Marine's supposed to be comparable to Tails, then she should've been strongly associated with some element that is deeply connected to flames.

But meh, I guess Marine is cool the way she is.

Sonic = Chaos Emerald power.
Blaze = Sol Emerald power.

Sonic, being the embodiment of Chaos, wouldn't be a guardian of the emeralds because it conflicts with what the emeralds are in the first place. Blaze being a guardian of her emeralds makes sense from a certain perspective when thinking about the Sun and stuff.

Anyways, Blaze is the embodiment of 'Sol' the same way Sonic is the embodiment of 'Chaos, and Chaos and Sol are parallel forces like the 2 sides of a magnet. Henceforth, Sonic and Blaze are parallel forces.

Any alternate Sonic will have similarities to other alternate Sonic's by the simple fact that there is always going to be an element of traits that are the reverse of Sonic's own. Think about it. Eggman Nega, villain from the future, is the inverse of Dr. Eggman. Who is Silver the inverse of? Not Sonic, but Shadow, both in terms of personality and design, and both of them have similar powers. Most of the lore around "Sonic's" world is linked to the Chaos Emeralds: Shadow was built as a living weapon to use the power of the emeralds, Knuckles is the guardian of the Master Emerald which regulates the Chaos Emeralds, even characters like Cream are tangentially related by way of the Chao, who are linked to Chaos.

Sonic has no connections to anything. Sure he uses the powers of the Chaos Emeralds but he has no other connections to it. This is in fact Shadow's world, and Sonic is just a guy who loves adventure.

Even in the comic we never see all that the Sol Dimension has to offer other than water and a few islands. Where is Blaze's Kingdom? Are Blaze's parents even alive, or is it a Princess-in-waiting situation? How did the Sol Emeralds come about? What is the topography and geology of the planet?

Bringing another element to the equation, are there even actually two different Eggman Negas? One from the Sol Dimension and one from the Future? Does Sol|Nega have a different origin than Future|Nega?

Tails and Knuckles work because they're a twist on Sonic's normal mechanics.

The Adventure era is filled with a ton of "new" friends that have awful not-Sonic gameplay, and even worse they then infect his old friends with not-Sonic gameplay too.

The reason people "hate Sonic's shitty friends" is because we were subjected to 2 games of Knuckles' and Rouge's shitty digging adventures, Amy vaguely running away and being helpless, E-102 shooting at things, Tails shooting at things, Robotnik shooting at things, Big fishing and then Silver causing the game to lie down and wait for the sweet release of death.

The common stance on Sonic Adventure 2 is largely "Well Sonic's levels are pretty fun and Shadow's are basically the same as Sonic" but then they even went and shitted up Shadow as a shitty friend by giving him a game with a terrible gunplay mechanic and level designs that required slowly and methodically searching the level for EVERY enemy to progress in some cases... and then immediately after that put him in a game where he had a shitty melee combo after his homing attack and was "the vehicle guy".

There are less complaints in general about Chaotix and Cream because at least in the games they show up in all they fucking do is run, jump and roll.

I despised the chao gardens and all that but I don't shit up every conversation about SA1 by complaining about them and saying they made the game shit.

I'm way less forgiving about the later shit like how SA2 just fucked up in every regard and Heroes was basically such a huge fucking disaster it was the last nail in the coffin that fucked us over for a long while.
