The changes between the current bomb-carrying ships in a warfare setting isn't as drastic as hauling a few boxes of cargo to carrying tens of thousands of goods across literally the explored galaxy. The only thing that bothers me about the Polaris is the way it looks like it has more of a "double-delta" shape than other RSI ships, and lacks the "spear" shape which makes it look a lot like an aegis design rather than an RSI design. I also don't really like all the little winglets it has dotted all over it. again, more like Aegis than RSI

Just personal opinion but whatever. I think it should be more nose-heavy like the other RSI ships.

Currently have just a Constellation Andromeda. I think I'll upgrade to a Discovery-class Endeavor when it comes back on sale. That will probably be one of the fastest ships to earn UEC with. It'll probably still be as good solo if you install the landing bay, put two smaller ships like a Terrapin and Prospector inside. If you park the Endeavor in high-sec space, there should be little risk outside of losing the Terrapin or Prospector if you decide to venture out into deep space.

Mutliple times they have said this will be the top of the line science ship, and in one Around the Verse they talked about the serious income it will generate if you have it set up properly. No matter how much they change it (which probably won't be huge changes since it has already sold in a concept sale), the design philosophy will remain the same. It will still be a mobile science/research station.

What sold me is the ability to multitask multiple professions. Like I said before for instance, you could be hauling mining cargo, and during long travel times you can analyze samples of the minerals for other uses. They have stated that you will be able to analyze materials and perhaps enhance their quality. The drug lab portion of it needs the raw materials to create drugs as well; with flora, fauna, gas, and minerals already being confirmed ingredients for some drugs. We also know the general science pod has the ability to turn the raw information gathered by the general research pod and telescope array into valuable data for sale or trade.

As someone with both I can tell you the large hardpoints on the Cutter have such shitty firing arcs that you can't reliable combine them with the huge and mediums. Also it handles like large cathedral, making combat in it the antithesis of fun.

Those were all dedicated racing machines. I don't remember a Naboo starfighter ever winning a podrace despite being fast faster than any fucking podracer anyway and agile. This is a fair point, but for the sake of variety I'd hope those sacrifices only made a slight but noticeable difference. Not some situation where you just ALT+F4 when you get overtaken at double your own speed.

There will be other 800 series ships and they will be extremely similar in design to the Jump. They're not going to build an entire multicrew ship and only sell it once to a tiny handful of people. Like I said, I hope they don't sell it with a limited amount in game. This is just my opinion. It should always be for sale, but it should be so pricey that only orgs or people who have spent a lot of time earning UEC could afford it. That way it'll still be an exclusive ship, but it won't screw over the people who are trying to earn one but miss out because they couldn't afford it during the sale. Same goes for any other ship besides anything above an Idris.
