I'm packing up and heading back to 4U. I've gotten everything I can out of Gen at only 238 hours. I still have things to work on in 4U at 580 hours and they're not relics, I don't bother with that shit. The G rank armors look better anyway and there are more good weapons to use.

Adept with Absolute Readiness. Pseudo Evade Extender that can reload your ammo and get you out of situations that would get you slammed if you adept dodged (Glavenus double tail slam with a wall to your left).

The alternative is Striker with GPL and both evasion arts.

Very easy in group. Just get the typical boomerang skills, get the nibel hammer R and throw at the head

Typically does deadeye X in ~4-5 mins and it's KO'd a lot.

You go from 20 to 28 in a single deadeye X (always eat for felyne trainer), then 28 to 32, then 32 to 35 and then it goes slower

From 40 to 49 you get 1 level per deadeye and then need to do 2 for 49 > 50

Online I would think Hammer, HH and SnS could make a set like that worth it. Although SnS can be a better overall support than just have the head. But to say it is the best for all weapons is crazy to me.

Gen isn't bad, it's just not as good as the last few games. Feels like the only meaningful additions are styles/arts(which are pretty fun) and deviants(which need some tweaking).

Plenty of minor improvements like the upgrade system and gathering, though. Sucks that there's no story whatsoever, especially after 4U tried pretty damn hard to give an MH game a good one.

4U is the best entry point to the series. It's well known that MH can be hard to 'get into' because there's so much to learn, and 4U was the first game to actively try to make that entry-level content more fun. Gen was an enormous step backwards in that regard.

Learn to play in 4U, if you like the series, hop on Gen where there are more active players.
