I've been working on a slower Dragon Paladin ever since WoG released, however the strength of Nightbane Templar has me thinking about a variance of deck that more aggressive-minded. Something tasty like Dragon Warrior. However, I'm experiencing difficulties putting the deck together, as Paladin doesn't have dem proactive minions it used to any more.

This is what im using, to some moderate success. I'm confused about the 1-2 drops, and im sure in that department it's suboptimal. You could include 1-2 selfless hero (better than it looks), Rallying blade or Blessing of Kings as well. Im not even sure how the new cards would factor in. Im going to try x2 netherspite and x1 bookwyrm. The biggest problem for this deck right now is bad early game, which is quite significant for a tempo deck that cannot win unless it stays on the board.

Never expect anything more complicated than Moat Lurker in this game, ever. It's literally for toilet-playing casuals. Tutoring will never exist because that's not the sort of thing the game pushes. You're supposed to have a set of obvious inclusions, and any complexity in the game is derived from how complex card games are naturally with even a basic conceptual skeleton.

Speaking of Yugioh, what if there was shit like xyz, synchro, fusion or ritual in Hearthstone with the idea to make old cards playable too?

XYZ= overlay 2-3 cards with the same level to get an xyz card, has an effect when you detatch a card(s)

synchro= requires 1 card that is a tuner and usually one that is a non tuner, and then you cound the levels together to make a synchro summon. level 1 tuner + level 8 card = level 9 synchro

Fusion = fuse 2 cards together with a spell into a stronger minion

ritual = must use ritual spell + usually a sacrifice to summon a strong minion

No, tempo is about the speed of the game.

Basically your opponent plays a highmane, and you play sap. That's a tempo play. Now you can play other shit with your 4 mana or whatever, and they just missed out on their entire turn and need to spend another entire turn replaying it. Or azure drake backstab.

Speaking of which: what are /hsg/'s current thoughts on reynad's tempo rogue deck? He got all the way to top 100 legend last night with it.

Most of us just play a handful of games on ladder and gauge from that if we're winning more than we lose. Then we adjust our deck accordingly.

For the purposes you're stating, a ratio wouldn't really work anyway. As new cards coming out and buffs/nerfs (kek) happen, the stats you'd got would only be relevant for the meta you recorded them in and would be redundant when looking at the bigger picture.

It's aggro in the same way zoo is aggro. You trade plenty. I don't have the legos so I use DID instead, works quite well. Feels like zoo but I've been having much fewer problems like I have been with this, the rogue-specific cards are really nice.

You rank up during the second week. Ignore hsg and anyone who tells you that the last week is the easiest, that's bullshit.
First week everyone wants to rank up to legend asap.
By the start of the second week the good player move up and you start ranking up.
By the start of the third week most people that wanted to rank up to 5 already did and now the faggots are intentionally dropping to rank 20 so that the can farm gold and wins for golden portrait.
By the start of the forth week everyone who didn't rank up trying ranking up now and they use some of the most cancerous net decks that you can find. Rank 20 to 15 are worse net deck hell than legend is.

You go for value. You want to summon minions that summon other before using evolve. Like turn 3 coin, pantry spider into evolve.

The distinction is not very clear honestly. Aggro decks are mainly concerned with going face all the time. They don't trade, they just smorc and that's it. Example: face hunter. Tempo decks might appear like aggro because usually they go face a lot and have a low curve, but they will make value trades and use cheap removal to keep their tempo high. Example: Zoo.

The person who named it. Tempo decks and aggro decks are entirely the same thing, just some people call it tempo and others call it aggro. So whichever camp started its name that's what it is called.

Face -> Deck doesn't trade and just kills you

Aggro -> Plays very aggressively in the want to kill you but will also kill your minions and curves a bit higher than face

Tempo -> Plays very aggressively in the want to kill you but will also kill your minions and curves a bit higher than face

Midrange -> Has a slightly higher curving deck again but plays a slightly more value game

Control -> Has a very high curving deck and plays the pure value game

Combo -> Deck curve is irrelevant, just survive until you can lethal from hand.

Aggro and Tempo = Same.

Fatigue warrior faggotry is the fucking worst. I eventually foresee Warrior's armor mechanics end up being reworked completely. They'll make Warrior's hero power into something like "give an ally minion +1 attack" to promote playing minions and actually playing the game and not just chilling back removing everything you play and armoring up.

The problem is with Hearthstone's f2p and p2w model.
If I could as cheaply buy a good deck as I can in Magic, I wouldn't be against long games. But since I'm scrapping together some shit that may or may not work, while I'm lacking a lot of crucial cards that are needed for any sort of control games, I don't want to waste 30 minutes on uninteractive shit.

Also, the uninteractive shit is important. In magic I can actually do something during the opponent's turn, here I can't do anything besides secretes. If the control meta is going to be as interesting as mirror priest, no thanks.

WoW progressively developed the narrative issue of only actually advancing the story on a quest-by-quest basis. Thrall, Garrosh, and Vol'Jin are ALL the warchief depending on whichr quest line you are on. Garrosh, more specifically, is up-and-coming son of Grommash, the warchief, captured, crazy, AND dead depending where you walk.

Also, if you are hoping to get into it to learn Hearthstone card origins, then I would recommend just playing the Warcraft games.

Daily reminder that Warrior has always been the most broken OP class in the game at a fundamental level. The class itself has never strayed far from having top tier decks, has always benefited from cheap and efficient anti-aggro that no other class gets, has better self-'healing' than priest, has too much synergy with its cards that often leads to completely broken decks with any 'counters' being soft counters, and has the ability to play aggro, tempo, midrange, control, and combo decks effectively.

It has every identity at its disposal with the sole exception of secrets while some classes struggle to even have a single identity going for them until Blizzard gets around to buffing them.
