Tracy, I would say, is tuned to a razor's edge. Unlike Genji who had legitimately broken mechanics like his melee dash and triple jump, Tracer works "as intended." There's nothing to abuse.

The thing is just that "as intended" means a good Tracer can dish out a lot of damage while being very hard for the average player to hit.If she gets a mobility nerf she'd become very easy to shoot and would need a health buff, at that point she's just becoming a different hero.

I really do think people who are so bothered by Tracer need to just "git gud", because I've spent enough time playing as Tracer to know how easily she dies and when playing Tracer or another hero I have zero issue fighting other Tracers. Seriously just get in the mental habit of keeping track of where Tracer was 3 seconds ago, when Tracer recalls I can usually pre-fire where her head will be when she reappears.

Soldier: 76 and Pharah getting back into the meta would be the best thing to fix Tracer. It's tough. She's REALLY good, but at the same time the nerfs people want are overkill spawned from the fact that they aren't that good at fighting her.

Even so that's a terrible direction to go in because all those points still stand. All it would do is screw most other heroes even harder while only sightly inconveniencing her counters. If it somehow were an effective buff things would be worse as no one would have a reliable response to her. Honestly, she is just unfun to fight against unless you're a counter or dueling Pharah as Pharah. If you didn't notice many heroes use projectiles that aren't too fast or close range weapons something that is a pain in the ass to kill with if your opponent is in the air with all of its advantages. She either needs a bunch of rebalancing so that those type of heroes can fight her more reliably and thus a buff to a ton of her other things won't hurt the overall meta. Or just an increase in her killing power, like projectile speed, making her rockets fast enough to finish off a counter like McCree if she gets the jump on them. Remember, offense heroes rely on killing power ans mobility to get by. Tankiness is not for them, even Reaper's extra health won't save him from pins and the like.

Or a rework so that she isn't so polarized. Her counters shut her down hard because flight basically does the same to a lot of other heroes. If most heroes could fight her more reliably they could make also make it so the counters she has are less concrete.

Pharah's ult becomes absolutely disgusting in the hands of good Pharah players. It's basically like a Genji ult, minus the "I got time to pop Transcendence before anyone dies" part. It's also much less predictable than Reaper.

Killing power doesn't just mean her straight damage numbers. It can also mean things like projectile speed or splash damage radius. Her splash is pretty shit compared to similar characters in other games like Tf Soldier. That's fine since the devs want you to rely on direct hits. I've heard a lot of different sides of the argument but I really feel like adjusting his numbers wouldn't hurt him. One argument is that the other heroes are just underpowered and it would become the tank meta (even though he was explicitly nerfed to not counter them).

But would giving him something like increased range to 30m and dropped damage to 60/120 really screw him and the meta? I get that he's supposed to hit hard because he lacks mobility but as the capped posts point out 120 already is a lot of damage. Spread has been around in a lot of FPS games for a while. It's all in the execution. You can see where the spread will go with bloom and there are shots you cannot miss if you aim with this in mind. As long as they didn't overdo it and the spread recovery wasn't too long it would only start to be a pain at longer ranges.

The thing with the Shimada brothers is that they require no skill to be effective. Every other hero has to work for their kills while Hanzo and Genji get them for free. Dying to them is frustrating, while dying to anyone else can even be satisfying. That McCree had to work on his aim, that Reinhardt had to leave his team behind to charge you, that Reaper ventured alone behind your lines to flank you, everyone else requires some risk or skill. Hanzo doesn't need to aim to headshot you with his logs, and getting into an inescapable situation is practically impossible as Genji.
