I used to be part of /digi/. Before /digi/, there were occasional Digimon threads/pseudo-generals on /a/, but they all died too quickly. People tried to keep them alive with memes (mainly Mimiposting), 02 bashing, posting custom evolution lines… but Page 10 could be staved off only for so long. Eventually we gave up.

When Cyber Sleuth got an English release, many of us coalesced here on /vg/ in /digi/. The new game, larger audience, and the then-upcoming -next 0rder- kept it alive and active for a while, but when -next 0rder- was release din Japan, and it was short and unexciting, activity waned again. People again turned to memes to try and keep the general alive, but when its demise looked inevitable, we decided to just let it rest gracefully, and stopped making threads, instead biding our time on Discord.

Digimon, like Mount & Blade, has no overarching lore to discuss. The wait for new games is long, and sometimes disappointing, so there are long stretches of waste where there is no new material to discuss.

Though /mbg/ now seems slow and moribund, I can say that it's still much more healthy and alive than the Digimon threads were. There's always a new mod or two to discuss, people still play the game and thereby share experiences, and the factions, gameplay dynamics, and real-life analogues of the game can still bring forth new and fresh memes.

Don't give up hope, /mbg/; we'll hold out until Bannerlord, I am certain.

I lost Momo when I got defeated by a lord and she didn't show up at Sado again. She can't be in taverns and the travelers don't have an option to ask about her.
I tried using the save editor and can't figure out how to get her to be at Sado, and placing her in towns doesn't work either.

Decompiler CTD when used on GekoNewer. I tried taking some of the text files and moving them to the 3.1b souce then decompiling that and it DID decompile. Trying to use those .py files gave my errores out the ass when trying to compile though.

Now I'm trying to get Momo to be prisoner in a castle through the save editor so I can ransom her or break her out. However, she doesn't actually join my party in either case. When I ransom her I get pic related for her notes and when I siege the castle to break her out she uses the prison break dialogue and again doesn't join my party.
What gives? Is there something I need to change in the editor to make it work or is it just not possible?

I think there should be a minimum "core" number of lords for any faction at any given time, but until that core number is reached, there should be a "natural" way for lords to be generated, like, children growing up. When the "core" number is reached, and a lord is executed, a random one is generated.

Yeah, they should do what Shadow of Mordor did with the Uruk chiefs. You can have them executed or kill them in battle and after a while a new one takes his place. Maybe a noble of lower status, maybe a brother in which case he could really hate your guts for killing his brother.

Got a chance to play Warband on PS4 at Gamescom. No line whatsoever.

it was pretty neat. Not gonna be moddable, but the framerate was good in a skirmish. UI was pretty bad. Hasn't been changed for console, really, they've just added little pictures of the button prompts to the bottom of menus to tell you how to navigate it.

If it's priced cheaply I'll likely pick it up for some couchan blade.

Does Floris change something very important about lord relations with their liege? I noticed the upstanding/good-natured ones pretty much all have near-max relations after I formed my own kingdom, so there went that playthrough.
The only things I can think of would be the relation bonus after fighting a battle together and the domestic policy things that provide bonuses to relations, but I have no idea if either of those apply to NPC-NPC relations.

I was but a humble trader when I arrived at Ahmerrad, besieged by the hosts of the Sarranids. Far in the north, the Nords' two remaining castles were under siege, and would soon fall as well.
Forsaking my investments abroad, I joined the Nords on a whim, and together we drove off the Sarranids.
I made haste towards the north, but saving the Nords' last two footholds there was a futile effort, my 80 measly men against the Vaegirs' army of 1000. At least I kept them busy for some time by repeatedly taking one castle when its garrison was small, then fleeing from the incoming army to swiftly take the other one. It was fun, but ultimately futile, so I returned to the Sarranid lands where the Nord kingdom would be born anew.

The Nords have since taken Bardaq and Durrin from the Sarranids, battered as they are also by the Khergits and the Rhodoks, and I have found many good comrades among the Nords. However my contract, once extended already, is about to end, and having income from my investments elsewhere would be nice for a change, so I might take a break from soldiering until the Southern Nords need me again.
