The thing with Japanese companies is that they're so obsessed with providing good service(literally a life or death endeavor for them) that they wouldn't release an English version without proper support. Though, them not wanting to alter their product to cater to other regions is part of it too. Well, that and they only really care about Japan. Got it figured out and fixed. Just got the recent Assembly-CSharp.dll from the patch and used the _patch x64 Sybaris_setup.bat.

It finally patched the motherfucker and now we're smooth sailing. Thanks for the assistance, my dudes.

Mostly from the programming side, main problem is ensuring all the filenames in .menus mirror that of your .menu and tex stuff (they're kinda really damn easy to overlook if you're not paying real attention to them). The artistic side stems from trying to make it the right size and stuff. In my case I'm just reusing eye.highlight textures I made in AA2, so I can't really comment on making one from scratch for CM3D2.

im thinking about making a mod

like in the daytime you can switch between rooms and select maids, send em to other rooms and do works like in the schedule, they would just add statistics per hour doing the work (time would be of course sped up) and everything would have animations like when you supervise em
in the night time you could hug em or something

you could also develop some romance or hatred between the maids, perform some kinds of interactions (limited by vanilla animations, i suck at animating), have some events happening also so it doesnt get dumbed down to grinding stats

basically picture it as the sims x maids

hopefully it would replace the shitty ui and boring day night cycle

If you selected MM poses yeah, actualy afaik the newest MM ver got rid of them being selectable in the vanilla pose selection, so its jut the vanilla ones + all dlc ones

I figured ( through trial and error, and reinstalling the game+dlc+hfpatch+syrabis many times ) out it has something to do with the reipatcher/Syrabis because once i run the bat my game immediately closes after selecting a present in edit mode. There's no freeze, or warning, or error message. It just closes. The game runs fine when not running the bat. I would greatly appreciate it if someone can help me out.

Do you actually believe that? I'm mostly playing with meidos now but I still think aa2 was the best eroge of all time, and I've been with Illusion since Rapelay back in 2006 and play the /hgg/ VN shit and the /hgg2d/ side scroller shit like Parasite in City too.

The high school setting and social sim gameplay is just too good, and the animations and graphics are better than cm3d2's despite the game being a year older, only AA3 can beat it

AA2 was decent, but no way the animations and graphics are better than CM3D2. It also doesn't feel as erotic and takes way too long to get to actual porn. Plus, the dialogue is entirely composed of single sentence answers. Customization is also limited to school uniforms and a negligible modding community, and its posing is virtually non-existant.
On the plus side, it has a nice school romance feel to it, though, and it has, by virtue of less dialogue, a much more expansive variety of personality archetypes and voices.
Overall, though, I don't think it's as good as CM3D2.

I don't think you can argue that. AA2 has speed and variation, loops are long enough to look procedural (ie, not like a loop), they look more flowing and natural, and you get much better control. The loops are much tighter in CM3D2. Though, CM3D2 has more skills obviously. I'm not sure, but they might have used the legacy animation system in Unity 4.

Artificial Academy 2's community is further along because they've had double the amount of time to work on it. Meanwhile Custom Maid 3D 2's barely one year old.

AA2 was easier to translate because it doesn't have a story mode. At most it has static conversations that only vary by personality type. For example, "Cadet" personality will always respond the same regardless of who they're talking to.

By contrast CM3D2 has a full story mode and to add to the complexity of translating it, unique lines within that story mode for every personality type. There's less personalities than AA2, but all five of CM3D2's personalities have a full game story mode's worth of dialogue.

We'll eventually see a full translation of the vanilla game, but every personality that gets added will only add to the time it takes to translate everything.
