Exploration is cool considering the beauty of the world and all the hidden caves and shit you can come across.

The point is you have to pay a significant amount of money if you want to stay competitive with the people who have, 600 extra weight, 4/4 max tier pets, extra storage, storage/transaction maids, etc. This all translate to more silver per hour. It's pretty fun. I play a few hours (1-8 or so) a week casually. Usually I rotate between doing lifeskills and questing.

All of the lifeskills (crafting, fishing, taming etc) are fairly in depth so you can rotate between them without getting too bored. I also like talking to the NPC's and trying to raise my anminity (don't even know what it is, but it's fun doing the mini game). I've heard the pvp is decent, but I cba to grind to high enough level to pvp.

I mostly play it because the combat is really fun, and there's a bunch of other shit to do that is fun enough compared to other games.

idk how good of a game it is to no life, but as a very casual player, I've been really enjoying it.

It looks great. Best graphics of any mmo by a mile. The world looks beautiful, albeit lacking in variation and can get boring rather quickly. The weather system is great.

Combat is sort of okay. It's hack n slash action combat. Some interesting combos with classes but overall gets repetitive. AI in mobs is crap. There's no challenge to killing things. Just mindless button mashing.

PvP is just as bad, really. It's all about gear and skill is hardly a factor because of major class imbalances. Besides ambusing, no real strategy involved.

Life skills such as crafting, fishing, etc, appear to have some depth but are actually shallow and segmented portions of the game. Makes you feel like you're playing a mini game that has nothing to do with the rest of the world. Whatever you craft or gather doesn't really impact the world in any way. The game mistakes tediousness in steps to crafting as depth.

The game has a lot of mini games but my major gripe is that none of them actually lead to anywhere. You can spend hours doing different things other than combat but there is no effect to other players of the world in any way. It's hardly an mmorpg.

What you're left with is a game all about mindless grinding to obtain better gear to do more mindless grinding. Gear progression is heavily rng.

I think of it as a game with a very pretty backdrop with little to no actual content and gameplay.

The game has large zones and all, but It all ends up looking the same. There are really only 2 distinct looking zones, the green forest continent (Serendia) and the desert continent (Altinova-Valencia). The islands don't look any different from the mainland. Swamps are tiny and don't really stand out from the rest of the area. Same with the desert canyons. You have one giant barren desert. The ocean is just that. Yeah, there are very few variations.

Especially when you compare it to other mmorpgs.
