Getiing hair in game is pretty easy: just make an .obj with a correct bone structure(optional, really) and imposrt with SB3U. Modelling them, rigging, adding physics etc is the hard part.

I ported a hairpiece from Seccross.
The whole process is basically:
Find and export the model with the game-specific utility(SB3U for illusion games, for example) in some format your 3d modelling software can read
Edit the hair in the 3d program. This is the hard part. Even basic stuff like resizing won't necessary work right away so you might have to re-rig it if you want hair length and physics support. Also uv mapping is necessary because I'm pretty sure your other game uses hair textures differently.
import the hair in game and see where you fucked up in step 2.

It's this sort of hair really, all of these 'front spikes' mostly. AA2 doesn't replicate them very well so far even with overrides on AA2Unlimited.

That sort of hair is pretty frequent in Saint Seiya games and people do mod stuff on it frequently for its latest PC release

MM has the benefit of being in the maid customization. You can spawn mod items with it and can fiddle with closes and hairs at any given time (don't know if Photo lets you do this though), custom pose saving also has a rudimentary function of saving "scenes" with maids and any spawned items. There's also the custom messages that MM still has. Basically it's far more versatile. You can save "scenes" with Photo too apparently but I hardly ever use it. As another anon said, Photo for basic posing and MM for advanced posing. More features work than Maid editor than Photo (I believe), so you could get some plugins like PNGplacement and that other one that has fancy options like bloom and such.

I'm using MultipleMaids and the PostEffect plugin (cm3d2_e_264) for some effects. I haven't tested the new functions added in patch 1.34, but the general gist of it is that the official poser has a better interface but lacks some of the functionality and convenience of MM. Since it's directly built into the edit mode, with MM you can change clothes at will, use other plugins together (some of them aren't compatible with the official poser) and you also have the item spawning function. The latest version of MM added a lot of the new functionality added to the official poser too, such as saving custom poses.

The official poser isn't completely far behind now that it has limb positioning, though. I guess that's something.

I just got it running with a really basic installation of the game but its only available in x64 and most of the pastebin contents are written assuming you are running x86 and implying that everything will catch fire otherwise.
