People shit on characters whenever it's convenient for them so they try to nitpick literally every single thing just to make them look bad and try to spin their own headcannon, but when a character they like gets some hate they just deflect to "oh it's inconsistent writing/bad writing"

I'm not even talking about this particular case, I'm takling about in general too. Every royal does stupid stuff, but there are certain royals that get treated much better because people just claim "inconsistent writing" but then bash on the characters they hate.

People even shit on Azura for the things she does in the plot but a lot of people do stupid stuff in the plot (mostly royals) but don't even receive the fraction of hate she get because they claim "bad/inconsistent writing/who cares (lol"

Azura's main issue is that she's part of the plot in all three routes, which gives more of a chance for her to be guilty of doing something stupid and take the blame for how things went. The entirety of the game is full of bad and in some cases inconsistent writing as you say, but characterizations are going to wind up being a part of that when they're inconsistent with the actual plot of the story. The story is bad, and all of the characters suffer as a result, attacking or defending certain characters won't change any of that.

I like making her Falcon, but her growths are pretty balanced so you can make her whatever. I like making Palla a Falcon to help her Spd, but going Str to get even more out of it isn't bad.

In the end, Caeda is the only one who should be going Dragon because of her noodle arms, her main damage output comes from OHKOing things with a forged Wing Spear, and the extra Str helps preventing cases where she's a couple points behind.

Like look at Raven in FE7. Guy had more serious/heartfelt supports with Lucius but then his Bartre one was a little goofier. Gave more levity and showed other sides to him, which made the supports where he's more stressed/angry about things have more weight to them.

Azura has all this bad shit happen to her, but we never really care because how she is as a character is never really defined. As is she's just a black hole of suffering that can at best invoke some white knight urges but that's about it.
