Now that bunker guardian is out of the question with the removal of cleric amulet I've turned my attention to new memes, pvp burn guardian.
Zeal is mandatory for the symbol burns, but it's a toss up between virtues, valor, or radiance. All of them provide a few useful things that go well together. The problem is you're absolutely forced into taking 2/3 of your trait lines so you can only choose one.
I suppose you could change it up depending on who you're facing. Virtues seems more defence-against-power focused, but if you go with the other two lines you lose the stab on F3 which could be a big deal.
Radiance gives you far more burn damage, but no real defence. Valor gives you more utility and access to additional condition cleanses and heals which makes it the best all around choice, I suppose.
Carrion is your only real option for amulet and the rune can be either trapper/balth.
I don't know why it's hard to choose yet I'm stuck between all of them. If only base guardian wasn't so shit compared to DH since the DH line doesn't offer much to a condi focused build.

Okay which "enrichment" is worth is in the long term?
Gilded Infusion with 20% gold find (increased gold from monster drops)
Magical Infusion with 20% more magic find
Experienced Infusion with 20% more experience from all sources in the game (wiki says from monster kills but that's not how the +EXP percentage stat works)
Karmic Infusion with 15% more karma from the game
Personally I think the magic find infusion is useless, 20% magic find is nothing when the cap is at 300% and 320% will not impact the rarity of the drops much after that threshold has been met. Having like 150-200% magic find is nice but reaching that goal is only a matter of time, essences of luck come flowing in like water. Karma pays out well during Wintersday but other than that I don't see a reason to dedicate a slot in an ascended amulet for a measly +15% karma gain. I've been playing the game for years and have over 20k AP so the karmic infusion practically doubles karma gain without using a karma boost, if those are still in the game. The Experienced infusion seems the most worth it to me because after the update today we can earn EXP and receive a spirit shard per "level." Spirit shards are useless outside of legendary crafting and Mystic Forge crafting though, unlike karma.
What do you think anons? Karmic and Experienced infusions only cost 10 laurels too

The thing about these enrichments is that they're all pretty optional. Karma is only ever considerably profitable during Wintersday and that's if ArenaNet doens't remove the material bags and stuff from the vendor next Wintersday. Gold from monster drops is so puny, one character receiving 20% more gold from a 50 copper or 1 silver drop is underwhelming. We'll still earn EXP by the truck loads from fractals and the like so the hoarding of useless spirit shards will keep on going even without the experienced infusion. 20% more magic find for 20 laurels seems like a rip off, 20% is just a droplet in the already shallow puddle that is magic find.
Maybe the answer is none of the current enrichments are useful and are mere vanity buffs. How could they possibly expand from here? They threw out infusion slots on all ascended amulets in the game for these enrichment slots, surely they have something planned them? Keeping this trend of enrichments feels like the pre-2013 times of having magic find in armor, weapons, and trinkets.

I didn't call all maps with verticality boring.
I called this map boring because it's yet another fucking wasteland like we've seen before and the verticality doesn't do anything for it because it's basically just a few blocks scattered in the air with nothing much going on.
The verticality in Verdant Brink and Tangled Depths was fine since it did something for the map.

Why wouldn't it? The only thing that seemed off to me was the sheer size of the Bloodstone (I recall it being much smaller), but I think some random journal page mentions that much of the size was hidden before or something. Overgrown with jungle and the like.
As far as dragons go, Primordius has been quiet and mostly MIA for a long time, so him suddenly becoming active in the wake of the death of two dragons isn't unusual, there's a fuckload of extra magic flowing through leylines and a dragon is going to take notice of that shit, especially one who swims around deep in the earth where said leylines are.

Reaper is a monster in open world pve, the whole design of the class is "unstoppable killing machine with lifesteel" which makes them very strong against the annoying and difficult mobs in HoT areas, but there are probably several things you could be doing to be more effective as a berserker.

Pop XP boosters (they work on WvW tracks now), find a good zerg in EoTM, run around mindlessly with that.
Failing that, do the same in regular WvW until you max participation. Once you have done that, AFK but every ten minutes head out and find a sentry or camp to hit. I played this game at release. I liked pvp'ing and all, but I didn't really know what the end game PVE was like. I think I played a couple of dungeons and it was fun but I never knew if there was anything more to it. I never heard of big boss battles or anything in the game. Anyway, did I miss any good stuff? I'm probably not buying the expansion, but from the PVE point of view of the vanilla, is it worth it downloading it all again? Do people still play the "old" content?
