Don't get good at a hero, get good at the game. The fundamentals can be applied to almost any hero. If you focus hard on one character you're going to be shit out of luck when it gets insta-locked in Competitive and you have to fumble about with a new hero.

It's really not hard to drop the meka since most d.va are playing like zarya used to. The only times i die because of a d.va is when i just happen to jump 50ft up and she happens to toss her ult. Consider the following:

Widowmaker getting headshots provides far, far superior dps to a McCree, with identical health pools and no damage drop off at any range

Ability wise you trade grappling hook for roll, and flashbang for venom mine
Hook and roll are debatable over what is better, but no doubt flash bang is better than mine

But widow's ulti is amazing compared to deadeye

So if McCree is viable, why isnt Widow? Surely her reduction in movement speed while scoped isnt enough to say "take mccree instead"?

If McCree consistently lands headshots, he puts on 280 dps with 2 headshots a second

Just play D.Va, Soldier, Pharah or Roadhog. The people ranked in the 20's are so bad that you don't even have to try. If you are halfway decent, you will carry every game.
