I am starting to play Quickplay more to practice characters, but I am constantly being put on tilt. I was attacking Anubis, trying to cap the first point with another teammate, and I died. I thought "I had way more teammates than that, so what happened?" And then I see our D.Va nowhere near the point on the killcam dicking around. Then I am trying to take care of a Bastion. His health is low, he's cornered, and our D.Va comes flying in using her ult on the point and missing completely. She then gets back in her mech, and flies right by the Bastion, who now has gotten his ult.

I know Quickplay is for fun and practicing, but holy shit people do not play with any sense at all.

Behold, the memoirs of a soloqueue competitive bastion. I have made many notes, and I am very confident of my survivability and lethality in shitter league 62. There is absolutely no-one that can hard counter me in a confrontation without error on my part (in 1v1), and with minimal babysitting (either a mercy that boosts me before she has to run and heal or an occasional zarya or winston shield), I find most games turn into cheesey victories.

I am confident bastion is overwhelmingly more effective on the attack side, I stopped playing him on most defenses except hanamura.

The survivablity is very high once you find some excellent spots, you'll find that no-one in the game will have time to drop you before you can get away from your setup points, even tho you can look at choke points. Anyone interested in more?

You obviously have to stop shooting genji, if you just stare one down, or roll the dice and send a short short burst, that he will inevitably reflect out of fear for his little 200 pool, the reflect makes the noise even without hitting anything, so you can countdown in your head if you heard him use it against someone else. It is highly useful, when genji is enclosing in on you flinging shurikans trying to bait your shots before he reflects you that once he hits reflect, you should heal yourself while still holding down the firing button, theres no delay to resume firing once you get hit but you will have gained between 40 and 60 health, almost no genji's no how to cancel their reflect until about rank 60, then once you start healing they will cancel their deflect, once you spend some time on bastion, genjji becomes one of the least effective heroes against you The best counters are tracer ults (which you can Q out of), mccree, and pharah. However, with proper setups, you can shift into mobility and escape everytime.

I find headphones imperative, if you werent already aware, a silly reaper will be eliminated everytime.

The key is opportunity playing attack bastion, you bring the rear, eliminating any flanks and waiting for your team to begin a larger than average confrontation. You must have the highest survivability on your team, backing up, even heading back to spawn is necessary, use callout and stay at midrange ready to escape

As Lucio, If you have low accuracy it's fine to just spray at anything you think you can hit. Your damage is comparatively low so it's not too big of a deal. If you need to hit something far away try to sweep over them in the direction they're going. If you do this enough you will see which shots actually hit so you can get a feel for how to adjust your aim. That only works if they keep moving in the same direction though, since the projectiles are slow enough that people can dodge them rather missing from lack of aim.

I like to try to hit everything to reveal health bars. This lets me call low targets for my team, or lets me know if I can chase them by myself to finish them.
