You need to keep peasant numbers low enough so labour stays relevant and people can have decent sized farms, otherwise you're going to be suppressing a rebellion every day of the week. Funnily enough, the opposite is true in M&B. Whenever you give out fiefs, most lords get mad and lose relations with you, but those friendly with the one being given the fief take it just fine. Raise a companion to vassalage and they have no friends among the lords so they get mad EVERY SINGLE TIME you grant a fief to someone else, as if they deserve all of Calradia despite being nothing before you raised them up. If you look at the Force Strength or whatever it is in the reports you'll notice that you have an immediate effect on that. Force Strength also dictates how willing an enemy is to siege as well as how large a force they can muster. There seems to be a relation to economy I think in that lords can rebuild their forces more often the stronger their side is. You have to fight several times.

A 300 men strong Rhun party was going to fuck Dain over, I had to take the full hit otherwise they might retreat. f the faggot storm the camp soon we can disband Rhun once and for fucking all, freeing the flank of the war in the north.

My new favorite moment in Warband is when a row of elven archers down a Rhun cavalry charge. It's just beautiful seeing them getting so close and them getting 5 arrows to head plus 20 arrows to their horses.

I really like the trait system, feels like it makes more of a difference than VC. I just wish I had a "double ammo" trait. i'm frequently outnumbered and my archers run out of ammo.
