Can someone explain Weakness Exploit to me?
When does it take effect? When an element hits a part that is X vulnerable to that element? What about raw? And what actually happens when it procs?

Last thread mentioned a mixed set with AuM/RS/WE that I believe utilized Rathalos, Ceanataur, and Bnahabra parts plus both a single slot talisman and weapon.

Full set Rathalos plus gems can get you AuM/WE though, and Ceanataur plus gems can get you Razor Sharp/CritEye 2

Can someone explain aerial hammer to me?

It seems as though that except for the Level 3 Super Slam Charge there is nothing missing from the moveset, and in fact the level 3 charge turns into a stronger version of the awesome level 2 charge.

But on top of that you also get 3 aerial moves, the normal X one, the double A one and the charged attack.

Am i supposed to use any of that for dps instead of golfswing X combo? When i do the Aerial R charged attack am is it best to let go when you hit the ground so you do the charged slam from the air, or is it better to keep charging it? And how do i decide whether to use the double A or X aerial attack?

Different monster attack have different knockback power, you know.
Back in 4U performing a GP added extra stability to your shield on top of the red charge compared to simply holding the block button.
Not sure about MHGen. I know just guard has extra stability compared to a GP.
Also, logically, Axe morph GP should have more stability, than roundslash/A charge GP, because your hunter effectively holds the shield with two hands, when it thrusts the sword into the shield during the morph GP.

I hope none of you in this thread are this stupid.

Just a friendly reminder of how monster mechanics work. It cycles attacks between hunters. It also tends to flee after a while to a new area, under certain conditions (fatigue, boredom). In MHGen, they seem to flee whenever the fuck they want to sometimes (why Astalos).

So when you really wanna use traps against a super tough monster like low rank Seregios, place it near the monster, or when it's toppled/KO'd/toward the end of a mount topple/or otherwise controlled via status.

Or eat a bag of dicks. No one asked you to trap, and if you've displayed poor huntsmanship, no one is going to willingly cooperate unless they're even worse of a hunter.

Hammers truly attract shitters. Props to the good few.
