Individual phases that are lax on healing that allow a healer to contribute to DPS are good. A DPS check while standard mechanics are going on that still allow for healers to focus on DPS is not so good.

It has been stated repeatedly that healer DPS is never taken into consideration when tuning content. There is very, very little in the game that demands much of anything from healers and as a result a vast majority are absolute shit and can't handle things like The Vault or Final Steps of Faith. I can't tell you the number of times I've been in groups that have either disbanded or needed to replace the healer because of how shit they were. I have not once had a negative experience due to bad DPS.

There should be tank, DPS and healing checks in nearly every boss encounter but there isn't. It almost always boils down to finding ways to squeeze out as much DPS out of your party as you can. That's boring.

People are a hell of a lot better at the game now, though. Any phase that can be solo healed for a couple seconds is a window for a SCH to flip on Cleric and drop some DoTs

the only dps check is killing brawler, the rest of robots can be can be held indefinitely. DPSing brawler was as easy as throwing your 3 major dots/oGCDs before anything happened, and most groups LB'd brawler during early progression until people realized saving buffs was better since onslaughter didnt matter.

A8S has been the easiest last turn DPS check so far outside of maybe T5 but that was a player skill thing

Pushing before 4th long needle wasnt required healer DPS, JStorm is debatable but not even WF groups had difficulty with JWave DPS outside of needing practice on it

Regardless its way easier than A3S/A4S DPS checks, as well as T9 and T9S
