Ok, so I run from Zeratul (like I actually did), meanwhile my team is getting blown up inside Jaina triple blizzard (you read right, taking all three hits) without their mage DPS. Now I return To my question, How am I to carry in this situation?
I know spell shield is bad, but it does the job perfectly at buying his team time. Running = no DPS = no carrying. Like I said, it would be useless against an organized team with proper peel, but that wasn't the case. That's the reason I'm asking how to not rely on the team.

After getting 6 coins I ping omw to turn-in.
They don't come so I group bot with them.
We blindly push too deep and get surrounded.
I give the other team 6 coins, they also give them some.
Enemy gets a turn in while we respawn.

I've been going like a more defensive build, when you get ice barrier at 13 you get pretty tanky with damage.

Can go ring too, I've just been enjoying water elemental because it helps keep barrier up, also wintermute at 20 if you aren't getting dove too hard. With ice barrier she can solo bruisers pretty easily too and very fast, you don't even take damage. I've also been liking ice lance more at 7 than the 15% damage increase or ice floes, both of those are good, but ice lance keeps your shield up really well. Ice floes though is great against a bunch of melee, but ice lance is great for spamming against a tank who is jumping on you and you do a lot of damage to them every 2 seconds. That and it's great against objectives like immortals or bosses.

You can also just rotate between two lanes early too and clear like a xul as well, I've generally been getting top siege as well.

Yeah floes is okay, great for wave clearing and I like it against tracers, but after using it for a while I've just been tending towards more frostbolt spam without a full frostbolt build because of the sustained it gives you and I found a majority of the time in team fights I wasn't getting that much value out of ice floes unless their team had a bunch of summons like an anub and zag.

But she still does crazy burst. I'm actually not even worried about zera when I have my basic abilities up I just blow him up at 16. But I'll pick up ring if I have someone to combo it with, otherwise I think it's better to just go water elemental. And when I combo him I have a pretty large shield.
