Eh, the faces are too squishy for me. It makes characters look too young and it ruins it. Some of the more mature-looking girls like Silent are good though.

Playing Sengoku Rance for the first time.

So I conquered Ashikaga and Hara and declared war on Tokugawa. I'm having trouble dealing with their counterattacks.

Also, wasn't expecting a two front war with Tenshi. I'm getting fucked in the ass right now, especially with the riots piling up.

Did I fuck up? Should I go back and declare war on someone else?

Tokugawa is going to be pretty strong, you can capture most of the racoon dogs though, the riots are actually not that hard to deal with, one okay troop should be plenty.

You could reload but I think playing through a disaster can be fun.

You don't need to waste moves to stop the riots, they'll trigger at the end of your turns and at most only one can happen per turn. You don't even need a good unit to beat them, almost anyone will do.

Rance needs more troops, otherwise I don't see anything alarming, although I should probably inform you that Rizna, Hara Shouji and the generics that you've recruited are generally seen as shit, although there's no harm in keeping them, particularly given that you're playing on the lowest difficulty.

Also, are you on a non-Jap locale? 'Commanders m24/26' isn't normal.

So, I've thought about this more overnight. I think I might've been wrong, maybe I'll test this later, but here's an idea.

For the sake of our new players, I've spoilered the rest of this post.

Conquer Ashikaga->Pop Oda's gourd->Conquer Iga->Feed monkey->Conquer Tenshi Sect->Hopefully the border you have with Akashi will make them declare war before turn 30, vassal them->You can now enter the True or Isoroku route.

Although that's just my attempt at entering a route before turn 30. Actually beating a route is a whole other issue:
Ran isn't an option for obvious reasons.
Isoroku is probably impossible, even ignoring some of the more obvious stuff, according to the wiki, it takes like 25 turns for Keikoku to even be introduced.
Kenshin might be an option, but I'm worry about if you can even conquer Uesugi by turn 30. Nevermind entering the race... maybe I'll try it.
True is the only one that I can see as theoretically possible and even then you'd probably have to beat the game without finding the lemons for Miki, which would mean that you've have to somehow survive Shikibu's extreme attempts to protect Africa. Yeah, that'll be a fucking tough one, but at least it may be possible, although the turns spent waiting for the Demon Army to even appear will be a major set back.

Ok, yeah - it's not possible in True, even when I was hacking for autowins, I couldn't break 5 gourds until turn 26 (a lot of events need to happen before certain numbers of broken gourds can be reached).

I'll try Kenshin, but if that doesn't work, the challenge, as written, isn't just hard, it's impossible.

Once again, spoilered for the new folk.

Ok. It's impossible. Firstly I think that the wiki means that you can't enter the route until turn 24, but I'll assume that you can actually enter it on 23.

Enter on 23, lose all actions due to the entry.
Turn 24, lose all actions due to Xavier.
Turn 25 - you now have 5 turns to beat the race, exorcise Nobunaga and defeat Orochi.

Me being me, to prove the impossibility of all this, I hacked and won the race on what would be turn 26 (I misclicked and ended the would be turn 25 when I was trying to get Kenshin to win the route in a single turn, by then she had 66 points), aside from causing hilarious sequence breaking, it did what I wanted it to. On what would be turn 29, the Demon Army became fightable and I banished them, putting me again on 0 fans.

So, turn 30? It's fucked, you don't find out where Xavier's gone until the end of the turn, so you can't stop him in time - the challenge, as written is impossible.

Alicesoft also improved their polling by dividing it into categories after VI, and since X will likely have a ridiculous number of characters, their may be a large number of categories for Urza to potentially do well in.

There was a guy on here a while ago attempting to do a full scale mod (pic related), but I think he could only manage to replace pre-existing characters, not add new ones. I assume he gave up since he hasn't spoken about it in a while.

I downloaded this one off the rance series link nyaa. A lot of the fonts turn out fucking weird, like I get weird letters like PO instead of 10 when it lists what I need to do an action.

I can't really list any specific examples at the moment since I might not have found the info yet but sometimes I remember reading something but can't find it again since all the tips are spread out over a multitude of links.
