It doesn't work. His ranged attack still does a fuck-ton of damage, while all the heal items only heal for a few useless specks of health. I do like no damage to him, if I follow your strategy then the melee fighters are literally useless, while those 2 attacks take forever to charge. We have no healer except that piece of shit who is barely worth the time it takes to click on her heal button, certainly not enough to withstand his ridiculous damage. I can't get him below 5000 hp.

His ranged damage is strong yes, but i was taking 150 damage by melee. His ranged never did that to me, and he always targets Rance. You can use more than one healing item per turn and it will not use up the action of the character, so just spam until full.

When he started getting close to dying, or i just saw a good chance to get closer to him, I moved all the melee ones closer for a couple of turns than moved away and healed.

So, I just found the thread where I posted while doing my first playthrough of SR (apparently it took me a week to beat).

They are different from BBA, they all have happy and unhappy endings. And no, they are not even close to being as bad as in BBA. There are some whose fates are tied to the ones of other characters. Like if X character dies, the other will get Unhappy ending guaranteed.
As for how bullshit they are, there are a few that are really hard to get. Not sure if as cryptic as Nogiku in SR, but still frustrating to get.

Upsilon wasn't that hard and I didn't even use Rick for the majority of the game. I think Dodge Tank Kanami is actually pretty efficient in that fight, as long as he doesn't do the range attack.

It does look like a bit of a wall of text, although not hard to read, considering that you don't need to read all of it.

Maybe try being more concise and explain less about the Chinese and Japanese runs? Just put something like keywords with the points they had next to the links for them, saying that they are the highest scoring.

And about the last part of the pastebin. The guy there while commenting about his run also comments about the other two. So maybe you could place it more separated from the part where you talk about his run? Something like "comments about the three runs" or another.

If you're bragging about the number of units you've capped, you're an idiot - captures get harder as you capture more units (well, at the very least this is true in the normal game), particularly when you push it that far. If you're wanting to use the extra levels to buff Commander Charge or something, you should've started releasing well before 20.

They're there. You just need to look hard. Alicesoft's been around for a long enough time and is well known enough for it to sort of be an inevitability.
A small but notable group of them cropped up right around the release of Kichikuou. The staff actually comment upon it in some of the staff corners. You can also notice Alicesoft attempting to cater more towards them in the late 90s/early 2000s period by having a lot of prominently featured good looking guys in their games. I assume they're all mostly gone now, though there was that one SFW Rick doujin for IX everyone was passing around.

Pretty sure he likes Oda before the end of SR and regrets his death. On a similar note, he comes to have a great deal of respect (Well, for Rance anyway) for Albert before his reveal.

Rance is generally fine with men as long as they're useful, they let him do whatever he wants, and they don't get in his way. Hence why he's tolerant of guys like Tourin and Gandhi despite not really caring about them.
Rance doesn't like Rocky, but he can't shake him off. He tries to kill him a couple of times in both VI and Quest and he just keeps coming back. He semi-tolerates him since he can take a beating and do grunt work.

Souun is an important figure in JAPAN, so I think he's a given. He and Rance do get on surprisingly well in Sengoku, but Rance gets along with men much better than usual in that game for whatever reason, probably because there are so many of them in it.

Feliss is basically a completely pointless character until she gets knocked up in 5D. She does next to nothing besides be a plot device/power up in III, IV and 4.X. 03 really helped expand her.
Bird only ever appears in smaller games where the focus isn't on Rance saving a country so that more time can be devoted to Rance going out of his way to steal his women.
