I've bought everything I needed for the sin Dark build, includinng the fucking ember. And all I get is a little boost of damage than without it, and Lightning is still better damage overall. What the fuck is this shit, am I doing something wrong?

Did I just got trolled, and this sin build is just a meme, or is it something that I am doing wrong?

If the fight is longer - ex: winter mane
>Dark Build > Lightning because deals more damage and catches up

If the fight is shorter - ex: yuran
>Lightining > Dark because the burst speeds the fight up even more and dark needs time to catch up, both will be about the same though

If you have soulburn or some kind of damage boost mechanic that makes the burn phases kinda fast - ex: nexus first boss
>Lightning > Dark because the burst is better for burn phases

Everything else or if you live in korea/has legendary and elemental gear + 60% crit rate

Only if you can bridge them or have multiple monitors. Bridging can run into crossthreading issues that causes microstuttering, tho.

If you've got a full case, get a good 2GB or 4GB card, they'll be more than enough for BnS.

I have a compact 2GB that runs it on max settings just fine.

Lightning Pierce and Lightning Rod have shit animations. Lightning Pierce is so sluggish that if you unspec it entirely and just RB+F as Dark build while in stealth (using lightning crash instead) it's near comparable DPS due to how much faster lightning crash comes out compared to lighting pierce. Lightning rod has also long animation, and has to be utilized in stealth builds, whereas you just use it for chi-regen as dark.
Meanwhile, Dark Strike hits harder and benefits very strongly from blue buff and Dark Strike + LMB + RMB outside of stealth have a far smoother animation.
Yeah, lightning rod damage is pretty great with full stacks, but your stack capabilities as lightning is far diminished compared to dark build.
Dark build is used for better versatility. You effectively have the upsides of both stances, but you get a little less damage in stealth stance in trade for a ton of damage in decoy stance. Meanwhile Lightning Build has absolute shit damage outside of Decoy Stance and the only thing you get is a little more overall damage inside of stealth.

Exactly. Now read my post again. All my points are cased on this that you yourself said.

Stealth stance covers the slow flow of spells compared to dark with the +30% crit damage passive, so burst wise Lightning deals more damage than dark, that needs to catch up.

It's really easy to see that for short/fast fights or when overbuffed (blue+soulburn) lightning deals more damage in the same period because it deals more burst damage.

But if the fight is longer, Dark's sustained damage will catch up and surpass lightning with no effort.
