You can turn off sprinting in the mod options, I strongly recommend it. The tourney participants all running around like fucking sanic is bullshit. Beyond that you just need to git gud.

I dunno. I tried it a bit one time, but couldn't get into it because I saw that it fucked with recruitment a bunch, and then I saw a bunch of shit like health regeneration, traits, abilities + abilities on units that boosted party skills, etc.

I'm wondering what your problem with the tourny system is.
I'm pretty sure it's the same one used in Floris, and I have no problem winning in that one, with 6+ points/match easily (I fight in 4 teams of 8) - and I don't have to killsteal to get points.

Maybe it's because I have it so the tournament level scales with me? I dunno if that's an option in Silverstag.
Then again, I also tend to not fight alongside allies because I acknowledge that they CAN steal my points, but fighting alongside allies has the benefits of you're likely to survive + win, which itself is worth 3 points. Beyond that, it seems like a pretty reasonable tournament environment.
I dunno, I feel like it's vastly an improvement on the vanilla tournament system which is just "team elimination". Kind of baffled anybody could dislike the new one, compared to the old one.

I'm playing 1257 and my country was in a war, but they're retarded and just ran around using the whole army to raid one village, which while fun, isn't productive at all. Then someone else came and eliminated the country we were warring with.

It's been several months now and all the marshal does is call us to gather, wait for a week or so then everyone disperses.

Python learning isn't difficult. There's nothing even to learn when you're just editing or adding to what you already see in the module system. Generally you're just looking for a specific thing to adjust and bam--you've got it down.

A. You have no way of testing your shit without actually starting up the game, unlike in TES where trivial edits can be easily simulated outside the game
B. The files are completely fucking unreadable once generated

Guys! I'm playing the game for the first time, and already read the imagur guide and I usually have it at hand. The question I have is: when do you think is a good time to start your own kingdom?

It seems to me the best strategy is to help your current kingdom as much as possible and try to hoard all the fiefs you can. I'm not sure though, because I don't know the chances of you actually getting the fief. Also I don't know at which rate you get vassals and how many soldiers they usually bring. Currently I have a 105 men cap, but I guess I can manage if I can get 400 more from my vassals.

you tend to get fucked hard if you secede as a vassal of a kingdom to establish your own, make sure you have a lot of right to rule which you get by being a vassal of a kingdom or a mercenary and have that kingdom win wars

if you want to just strike out on your own then patrol between the borders of two warring kingdoms waiting for them to take a castle or town
when they take it they often leave a sparse garrison that you could easily overpower if you have a proper army

Would love to play that mod, especially that patrols means that I can be useful as mercenary even while having only few men under command, but damn, that bug bothers me too much, plus that noticeable lag every moment.

Question, is there any good way to get renown and money early game besides tournaments? Those things are complete cancer, and out of 15 tries I only won twice.

Personally I'd make it so one year is 4 weeks BUT I'd make the seaons last 2 weeks, therefore having the 4 seasons every 2 years.

Sons would age in 400-something days so assuming you married at around day 500 you'd be able to start to play as your son by day 900.

Then again, they'd have to add a way for factions to re-emerge since going by warband's standards, the game will probably "end" before you can start playing as your son, or rather, your son will have nothing to do because everything will be conquered already.
