Spamfilters catch it outside /4ccg/, but I'll do it when I wake up tomorrow and the match kicks off. We beat /gsg/ 6-5 today after being down 2-4 at half and scoring four unanswered goals after 2-5, it was a great match.

We're up against /twg/, a team that I have some personal deals with myself because they knocked out two other generals I liked in the past, but other than that I still do have the responsibility to take /ffg/ all the way.

Pretty so-so if we're talking viability. On one hand it's a Medica, on another hand it's the first ever one.

The other two are okay effects but they're not go-out-of your way effects to have, though if the waifufags of /ffg/ are to be believed you got three relics so I'd say that's a neat draw.

SaGa's way of characters learning abilities mid fight is such a cool concept. It's especially satisfying when a character learns a really powerful ability while fighting a tough enemy to turn the tables

My Neo Bahamut party. SB's: Renewing Rains (very useful since it makes mega/gigaflare miss), Emerald Light, Magitech Missile (did about 9k), and lol Aurora Destruction.

Alexander and Valefor were R3, the other summons were R4. I was basically out of ammo at the end. The measly 3k damage from Aurora Destruction ended up being important.

I actually had to go back and win a second time because the shared SB on the Lilith Rod counts as black magic, so I inadvertently gave away some medals.

I went 0/11 on the banner, 3/44 total.

I keep hearing about Saint Cross being good, but is there any other 5* skill worth a damn? I'd like to break down my grand orbs for 4*s if that's a good idea.

All 5* skills have their own merit, but in general, most players favor Saint Cross, Thief's Raid, Fullcharge+Faultsiphon (not here yet), and Dark Zone.

Abilities like Thief's Revenge are great, but generally need to be R2-3 to be worthwhile, so you're better off spending those orbs getting R4 4stars.

Pretty whale setup tbch senpai, also I wasn't even aware Magitek Missile was counted as summoning magic, so you have even more free damage that isn't limited by summon charges.

They're still pretty stingy with Summon Orbs on the whole though, I don't even have enough Greater Summon Orbs left to craft a skill after all the 4* -> 3* conversions I needed.

It did help that I had Garnet's Leviathan MAG boost SB but you could probably achieve what I was trying to do here if you took Magic Infusion or Inaugural Parade as an RW.

I don't get why you brought Protectga there, it's not like he uses Dragon Fang enough for it.

It really isn't. It's essentially Thundaja split into three hits, and getting Thundaja to hit for cap even on Ultimate/Ultimate+ bosses that are weak to lightning isn't easy. Even in ideal conditions it isn't going to hit much above damage cap. We're not in the era of +++ battles being the toughest fights around anymore. Besides, how much +lightning damage gear that Rinoa can equip is there even? Off the top of my head I can think of Thunder Rod which you'd have to get as an off-banner pull from a huge pool of relics. Most + lightning damage gear is 3-4* garbage (and most of those can't even be equipped by her) or swords and shields.

It took me about 2-3 months to start clearing Ultimate+ fights on JP and I started around the tail end of Basch's event. A few good pulls on BSB fest and Thyrus (well, three of them) a few weeks later made everything a joke, though I still had to beat U+ Caius (my first U+) without Shout and Wall RW. I've let 90+% of my stamina since pulling Thyrus go to waste and I'm still shitting on just about everything in this game. I've also got If you do your dailies, you'll catch up very quickly.

Never did many dailies at all and my 5* hones are still looking like this (not pictured: my Bahamut and Chain Firaja R2). I've got all the 5* shit I need and could hone shit further if I wanted to. Just breakdown any majors you get early on to hone the essential 4* abilities so you can earn more majors faster and actually do your dailies and you'll be clearing most stuff pretty quick.

Looks like they'll be going back and doing the other nation's storylines as well as Shantotto already represents Windurst, Ayame (Samurai) for Bastok, & Curilla (Knight) for San d'Oria.

I could see them adding Aldo (Theif, also the Main Character of the story from the trailer), Zeid (Dark Knight), and/or Lion (Theif/Ninja) in the near future as those are the only other relevant Heroes in the game's initial story. For villains I could see them add Raogrimm, Kam'lanaut, Eald'narche, or Nag'molada. All the villains could be done many different ways but Raogrimm is the most likely with a SB or some kind that involves either being the Talekeeper or turning into the Shadowlord.

I'm wondering something... Has anyone ever done a Minimum Percentage Game in FFX-2? Like, only going to Hotspots and visiting mandatory areas, skipping every cutscene and avoiding every single solitary thing that can increase your % above the lowest possible number.

Has anyone ever done this before and documented it? I'd be interested in trying it out, but I need to know what I can and can't do in order to avoid extra %.

My favorite thing about XIV is Raya-O of course!

Apart from that, the game has some really pretty areas (particularly during the right time of day and/or weather). Rain and thunderstorms are super comfy in this game - doubly so now that I have my personal house and can just sit in my backyard and chill in the rain. XIV is just a comfy game in general (pic very much related).

Primal fights are cool too. Currently working on soloing the ARR extreme fights since I joined too late to do them in a group and not have them be a joke and I'm having a lot of fun with it.

How is X-2 in general? I got the HD remaster and only played X and tried X-2 very briefly but the whole opening scene kind of put me off it before I really got to any gameplay. But these screenshots make it look not too bad. It worth a go?

The game has a goddamn amazing combat and ability system. That alone makes it worth playing.

The story may seem completely retarded at first, but it gets better. It's never on the level of seriousness of FFX, but by the end of chapter 3, stuff starts to get pretty interesting.

The biggest downside to the game is how terrible a lot of the minigames are, but they're all required to get 100% completion, as well as a ton of useful rewards.
