That's because healing isn't done once per second. It heals X amount per second and is split up into Y amount of instances. As an example Mercy heals 50 per second and is split into four instances, it does 12.5 healing every 250 ms. I don't know how many ticks per second healing abilities are so that was just an example. It was the same in Diablo 3.

It's a gimmick, it requires your team be able to have really good sustain and only get picked off one at a time pretty much. It's similar to the "killdozer" with bastion/torbjorn + shields on the payload

Because shield health is strong. It's on top of your regular health and it regenerates on its own, meaning it allows characters to take chip damage, take cover and then recover it. Never mind that for most characters, it's a 10%+ max health increase. Also, it's super easy to put on allies.

Challenging someone to a 1v1 in a game where aim is relevant for less than a 1/3 of the cast, and on top of that muh 1v1 skills is even less important, just shows that youre probably the shitter who tries to 1v1 their widow makers.

Just bought the game yesterday. I've had fun playing as Soldier 76, Tracer, Chopper...

Then I tried him. Whatever I do, I get blown apart. If I keep my distances, I die. if I get close, I die. If I try to deflect missiles, splash damage kills me. Chopper's chain catches me even when my sword slash gets me behind him at the same time. And the katana damages are laughable.

Is this character shit ? I've had great times with all the others I've tried, but not him. Whatever the other guys are playing, they seem to always have the perfect counter to whatever Genji can do.

Problem with any teamcomp that requires your team to have a Rein is that the Rein just stand there at the choke point and hope the enemy team will magically die, which won't happen. Most Reins are garbage and think if they're holding RMB they're doing their job, they're not proactive at all.

On the other end of the thing, it's really hard for flankers to get some job done with sentries and a monkey don't have enough burst damage. Even if you manage to create a distraction for several seconds, the teammates are too retarded to read the game and pay attention to the blue arrows, so they won't capitalize on it.

Honestly the only way i win against a Widow + sentries is either when my teammates go full tryhard with double monkeys or we get a lucky unintentional ulti combo. It's the literal pubstomp teamcomp as long as you have a decent Widow and a Mercy without garbage positioning.
