Not the case entirely.

Type-moon retains the rights to the main franchises (the VNs and some of their LN). It is too much work to try to deal with the process of localizing things as Nasu and Takeuchi wants to retain full control of the main propeties.

This is where Aniplex/Sony/Kadokawa comes in.
They license franchises from TM which allows them to create anime, manga, and games from the main series. This puts the majority of the work on the developers, artist, and writers while allowing TM to have a significant voice in what is being done.

Reason why you will never see a TM VN or LN licensed but you see the anime and manga done all the time. Same thing with Carnival Phantasm, this was a in-house TM project so it will never be licensed.

I think MEmu works fine now. While I was using the old version I needed to scan my physical memory since it didn't let me edit the values, but now that I switched to 2.7.0 Android 5.1.1 beta I'm able to edit MEmuHeadless directly. Much faster.

Use MEmu Manager to export your .ova file to a secure folder. Uninstall everything, install the latest version, delete the default instance and import your .ova file so it takes its place.

After that if you want to install the 5.1.1 beta just install the standalone package and you'll be able to create a 5.1.1 machine from the manager.
