Probably not showing up for a while. Actually it was different people. It's the first time that Tails has teamed up with Eggman in a Pontaff game. Of course, if Sonic Team told them to actually research the previous games then they would have known this has happened before, but they didn't.

Would it kill you to take two minutes and look at the production credits for the games, which are publicly available on various sites? Iizuka is the current producer of the games since Colors and former director from Adventure to Shadow. The only game he actually wrote was Shadow. Pontac and Graff have been writing for the games since Colors. The problem isn't the beat'em-up formula. That's worked for tons of games. The problem is sticking that formula in a game that also has speed parts.

Since I can tell you don't bother looking anything up and we're already spoonfeeding you, Mad World was an action game developed by Platinum which took place in a setting where you were on a TV show that involved criminals brutally murdering each other with color commentary.

Anyway, from that he got hired to write the Eggman P.A. announcements in Colors, as well as the script based on the story outline already made by Sonic Team. He brought on one of his coworkers from Happy Tree Friends, and now they write the games.

We don't need a Archie spin-off game. Just implement the main characters into the regular universe.

An 'Archie' game wouldn't work because the comic book is always changing, the status quo is different every 25 issues. If you started development on a game, it wouldn't reflect the comic when it finally came out.

The problem with implementing the main characters in the game is the game is already bad about every character that's not Sonic. That's not an argument against using these characters though, it's just an argument for making better games.

You know I've been having this wicked idea of having a rhythm game for Sonic where the object is to go as fast as the song goes and the landscape of the stage changes with the rhythm of the song chosen. You can also select the type of stage theme you want to play on ie. Chemical Plant or Green Hill Zone theme.

You can also use Tails and while his gameplay is similar you catch wind to keep and maintain your flight by catching the wind currents instead of trying to keep up with the speed of the song.

I scrap the idea whenever it comes up though because something like this would be nigh impossible I believe unless they made an entirely new engine.

Not really wanting the drama, I was thinking something along the lines but not exact of Videl from Dragonball. A fighter who was able to fight, just not experienced. Some shine moments to show her potential, but nothing like where she'd be the strongest or fastest. An extra card to play and help the team when they needed to split up or guard on the homefront.

Well like I said, I imagine the entire gameplay and control scheme being based around it. So instead of a dedicated parkour button you use the entire gamepad depending on what you want to do. Some of the abilities are already in previous games: press jump near a wall to wall jump, hold circle to slide. Instead of side-step and drift from the boost games, hold left and right bumper to grab something with the left or right hand to turn tightly or vault over an obstacle, and hold a trigger near a wall to wall run. And of course, instead of boost, press square while holding a trigger while motionless to charge a spin-dash.
