I was actually the autist that tried this after someone claimed it
it staggers POISELESS enemies (didn't test enemies with poise) without the horsehoof ring
it does stagger players with the horsehoof ring (didn't test without it, but I assume the same)

however, the bullet rate is so slow that they can just roll away after they get staggered and there's nothing you can do
So basically I think it was just a dank ruse he put on you guys and it only affects kicks like it states

as for the farron dart thing, I doubt it matters.

Oh agreed. I fell out with the PVP because it's very easily reduced to a lot of cookie cutter builds.
As much as I hated how DS2 looked, felt and played, every fight felt unique where as DS3 I've started grouping opponents into basic archetypes.

Also is Witcher 3 as good as they say? I heard a lot about it but never really got into it, the old games were very much not my cup of tea because of how they played in terms of combat.

As much as I agree that the "bee teem" did shit wrong, the answer was not to remove all the good innovations and make an effectively less ambitious sequel to DaS1. Hell, I remember being buttmad at how crappy the NPCs were compared to the first game, but they're godsends compared to anyone in 3. Does perseverance weapon art block enemy grab attacks or are you fucked anyway?

Golden ritual spear actually isn't half bad. I was looking for a side arm to use with my dual sword darkmoon blade character and it works nicely; Higher damage than a lightning winged spear (The only spear with S faith scaling infused), and does magic damage and can self-buff itself with steady chant, so it benefits from the Elf ears I'd be using for darkmoon blade.

If I cared enough, I could even throw away a bit of stamina to grab an attunement slot for some weak magic to spam with it; at 60 faith it's stronger than the court sorcerer's staff at 60 int.

I got blueberried into High Wall once...

The host was Curled Up in a corner near the 'Nocs, and two reds were wandering around looking for him.
I went and found the host, but he wouldn't budge, so I went off and got my ass double-teamed.
I held them off, but couldn't kill either of them, for some five minutes, and the host hadn't moved at all.
So when I had run out of Estus and was a few hundred HP away from dying, I stopped fighting and led them both to where the host was.
It took a lot of gesturing and evasion to get them to realize what I was doing, but in the end it was pretty damn funny.

This might just be me because I almost solely invaded as a hypermode dragonslayer archer in blightdown in DS1, but it seems every little decision like that somehow relates back to fucking over invaders.

Rapid fire instantly eats all stamina, some FP, and a ton of arrows, and still deals literally no damage. You could accomplish more by spamming r1 with an un-upgraded melee weapon
Puncture takes way too much time and has recovery frames that disallow rolling
Triple shot is just a joke, I have no idea how you could land all 3 arrows on anything that isn't a fat stray demon ass

The lightning miracles do definitely do "more damage" in melee, about 200%. It's because in this game they're intended to be used at arms length for some stupid reason.

My ranged sunlight spears do 400-552 damage at range, and twice that in melee.

That's why the talismen have a weapon art that gives them hyper armor.
