same damage buff formula as lightning blade, except it does magic instead of lightning damage.

the problem with lightning damage is (as far as PvP goes) that endurance also levels lightning resist, while int levels also magic resist. so, if you've bothered getting 50+ FTH, and you have the spell available, you might as well use it.

if you can actually get summoned or you do the family share thing, it's probably worth it. if your only option is silver knight grinding hell, probably better to just wait for it to eventually be fixed.

To answer your question: yes.
Invasions are, in some way, the worst they have ever been in the series despite the fact that there are tools, weapons and covenants that could potentially make it very fun.

You are much more likely to invade a world in which the host already has phantoms in it, so situations like in Dark Souls 1 and 2 where you could either just do 1 vs 1 in a small area or throughout the stage are now rare.

Pyromancy is pretty fun and you can get some neat tools at your disposal. If you are interested in PvP then you kinda have to learn how to free aim, but if you just want it for PvE then it's perfectly solid with lock-on. It even trivializes some fights/parts of the game.

CCS is overpowered as hell but you still need to hit 3 or 4 times with a rouge to trigger bleeding. 4v1 you're not really going to get the chance to pursue the same target like that. In those kinds of situations, you can count on your opponent being stupid enough to literally walk into your attacks again and again, so all you need is something that's extremely high damage and reliable so you can hit as hard as possible when they walk into you.

That basically means hornet fishing and buff gimmicks right now.

Pick your moments very carefully and position yourself so that you can get out of the way of his hard hitting attacks and combos quickly. I did it with a Zwei in NG++. Good luck.

Keep in mind that I'm almost SL200 and my BASE defense is crazy high. I take SIGNIFICANTLY less damage than someone 50 levels lower than me if we were both 100% naked.

Basically, you buff (great) magic shield (great is better, regular lasts longer) and block everything with a greatshield. Preferably havel's since lolnostaminaloss.

In addition, when using Havel's and great magic shield, all of its block absorption is raised to 100%. You will take LITERALLY no damage from any attack in the game, and lose LITERALLY no stamina. Your stability is 100.

There were only a handful of instances where I needed my heal and the only other miracle I actually needed to use was the status effect remover in farron keep. Every other time I used a miracle it was only because I was desperately trying to be an actual faith build, but my ass always ended up being more efficient and useful.

I was thinking of doing a 'mancer or int build after this one, but now I'm really put off; are they as shit as fth?

The dancer head piece actually looks amazing as a hood for it. Still debating weather or not you can really see the metal bars of the hood. I really like the veil as his wings.
