The blade of flashsword starts at the tip of the catalyst, the longer it is the more range you have with your blade. Just make sure the actual blue part hits or it will do no damage.


Honestly you won't need sage ring using solely the flashsword, so replace it with Gundy's Cockring, or any utility ring of your choosing. Other than that, it seems good for that level.

Honestly I was sort of happy about it. Dark Souls 2 had so little to do with anything Dark Souls that people were meming that it should have been a DeS style spiritual successor called Cycle Souls. The only good part was the Ivory Tower DLC putting together the relation to Manus and Chaos.

Dark Souls 3 didn't really add anything new but I appreciated it immensely for just bringing closure to a lot of stuff that happened in 1. When I beat Gundyr and got to Firelink Shrine, my reaction wasn't "ugh, this again" but "oh thank fucking god we're not in for another nobody remembers but perhaps".

Vitality improves your defense stat a lot though. You'll be amazed at how easily it laughs off players with fast, low AR weapons. Taking 30-50 damage from straight swords softens the blow of having no HP quite considerably.

I've played 1 and 3, and neither have as many retarded hitboxes as I've seen DKS2 have. I just finished two runs of DKS3, one being my regular runthrough and one with only Crossbow, and I rarely got as much shit as DKS2 has, now that I'm replaying it. So I recently started a Pyromancer, not sure how to go about things, but I rushed through much of the game with Raw Astora Straightsword and now I wanna get something that actually works well for a Pyromancer.

Assuming I'm going mostly INT/FAI, with a little lean towards INT, is it best to just infuse in some way or are there certain boss weapons (I tend to enjoy the crazy Arts they get) that work well with such a build? And is doing both Pyromancy and Sorcery viable at SL80? 100 even?

Right now I'm about to transpose Moonlight Greatsword, since that leapt out at me as something good.

i believe there is some glitch that makes you have to have equal int/faith or else chaos fireball will do shit damage. as someone who has a SL 80 pyro, it's basically shit. SL 60 is perfect for pyros as the only fun you'll have is doing aldrich invasions and trying to freeaim great chaos fireball.

simply put, splitting your points along faith/int and your weapons with chaos infusion as faith/int makes them weak. they will be weak. you just have to accept that. chaos infusions make weapons even scale four ways, making them garbage. your best hope for higher levels are getting base stats for a weapon, making it raw and then using fire buffs.

After 150 hours I am done. The PvP meta is worse than any previous game. The only good covenant is broken. These games are shit replyability when it comes down to bosses / co-op.

I easily put 700+ hours in Dark Souls 1. 150 feels like a travesty, a complete failure on FROM's part. I'm literally out of things to do since I'm tired of dealing with ganksquads and cheaters.

Biggest disappointment this year.

DaS2 and DaS3 they tried so hard to 'balance' it that it's honestly not as fun as DaS.

When Aldrich started eating people, he dreamnt and saw an Age of the Deep coming. He wanted to eat more than just men to fit in with the era. I've seen a lot of people say that the Deep is interchangeable with the Abyss, so it might be that. The game starts to refer to the Gwyn's dynasty as the Old Royalty instead of gods so language changes aren't unprecedented. But it's just a theory.

there's a difference between making a sequel and giving fanservice. there is really no reason for onion knight to make a return. farron's undead legion is a good example of taking what was already done and changing it enough to feel fresh, but the game needed to feel more "new". profaned capital was god damn empty. you can literally start from the first bonfire in profaned capital and get to yhorm in one minute.

hopefully the dlc will add a lot more, because we desperately need it.
