It's mostly because your armor is shit and hasn't been upgraded with armor spheres.

Tetsu armor is a noob trap that teaches you to tank hits, when you should be doing your best to not get hit.

Start with a new set like the gore mix for more offensive skills, and pour some armor spheres to up it's defense.

Skills are based on point thresholds:
You need a minimum of 10 points to activate a skill, 9 or less will do jack shit.
Some skills have additional tiers at 15, 20, 25, and so on.
Likewise, having 14 points will only give you the 10-point tier boost.
This is the same system for negative skills, so having -9 points won't fuck you over with a negative effect.

Try watching from a moderate distance initially to get his attacks down, then start attacking and commit more time to attacks as you learn better how to evade.

The treasure room is the first room after the base camp, and black blos spawns in the room after. The black blos room is the only place it can go and it is one of those nasty indoor quicksand caves, currently 136.

I don't know how it is for everyone else, but I was conditioned in every MH since FU to clear key quests and fully gear up in Village so I could rush my way through low/high rank guild hall. Anyone G2 here? I've only played this online once and I got the game right at the ass end when my friends for local play were already bored of it. I'm not great at the game but I don't think I'm entirely shit either. I got through most of G1 and then all of G2 by myself and have gotten stuck on Fire Drill. Stygian Zinogre fucks my shit up, Brachydios fucks my shit up too. I cleared everything in the gathering hall just for something to do and now have a silver check on the 7 star quests after I finished Queen Slayer and King Slayer. If there's anyone else stuck on Fire Drill we can gang up on them. I'm not entirely sure how these online lobbies work in these games though, it's all I have on 3DS and like I said I have barely any online experience with it.
