You can replay those missions and potentially get higher ranked versions of those characters. Also if you run a couple of missions with them you can level them up. I know I have an S Rank bionics guy.

by the look of things it was also possible to chose how the lower walkways would be aswell, if they would connect to the bridges, be connected via vents, or just plane not connected and making the invader have to go up top

Also for the main platforms you can see where you could place climbable vents where those gaps between the safety rails (where the safety chain is)
if you follow where Jackie takes his shortcut on the motherbase video you will see his short cut isn't there anymore

If you were to tell me a couple of months ago I would still be playing MGSV and liking it, I would call you a filthy cunt and a liar. I would have also said Kojima is a hack, and the story is shit, and the MGSV's world is lifeless and empty.

Now at least, only two of those is still true.

'Snake Tales' (which is what I now call modded MGSV, in honor of the Snake Tales missions that saved MGS2's story and-bait-and-switch character, but relied on the still excellent gameplay to entice the player) has completely altered my liking and perception.

Forget about Kojima, forget about the abandoned story. And just enjoy the Fox engine and open world gameplay of MGSV to its near full potential, with your own ever evolving and random missions, using whatever head canon you want. Are you a young David Pliskin testing out his skills in 90's Africa? Or are you still Venom wiping villages because your memory is starting to come back? I dont know, you tell me. It's Snake Tales mother fucker.
